What parameters are we using to define what a rant is here?
A rant = Rafa Benitez
Not a rant = Jurgen Klopp

Ahh okay, so how about a strongly worded comeback, would that be okay to call what Klopp said?

How about "a comment made defending his player, and taking attention away from him, after being pestered, after numerous attempts to refuse"?

He kept saying he's not interested in the media's games and they kept asking so eventually he gave them their headline so they can go play with it, and the media and general people lap it up like they always do. He's not interested in people singling out one of his players, whether it's for criticism or praise.

Exactly this. Klopp is always reasonable but smilingly firm with the media, his tolerance is commendable. This 'rant' is as dead as the dodo, it did not happen, I, and anyone with LFCTV will have watched several times looking for this blow up, it was not there, end of. The media twits may well have felt affronted that they couldn't get a rise out of him, so headlined it anyway. I remember them doing the exact same thing to Rodgers - probably the self same hack.

It will probably blow over anyway, until someone else says something controversial.

It's The Mail, so I'm automatically sceptical but that is an astronomical fee, if true.

It is China, so any fee will be sky high.

On a different subject, you got to in a way admire the audacity of Yaya, to come up with such a pathetic excuse.

It was rumoured last year, so it could be true. Oscar promised so much when he arrived, but never really fulfilled his potential. There's still time of course, but we've probably given him enough chances. I'd be sorry to see him go, but (if true) that £50m would do a lot to ease the pain.

Keep procrastinating over adding Sanchez to my fantasy football as a replacement for Lukaku. Today's the day my laziness really bites me in the bum......

Well you didn't do too badly with Lukuku and his goals v Watford, better than my idea of playing Harry Kane!

Shocker from Williams - first does a knee high tackle on his own player then mis kicks a Sanchez free kick into his own goal.

What's with Aron Lennon's beard? Has he become Amish?

What a finish that was - or almost was. A couple of clearances on the line from Everton right at the end.

They are looking like a ruthless winning machine at the moment, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that were to be what we see this time tomorrow.

Well that result didn't look likely after the first goal went in. Well done Everton.

It was real pinball wizard stuff for a bit then. So now Chelsea get the chance to build a gap. Can't really bet against them taking it.....

Why is it that Arsenal loses when you start to talk about them being potential title winners

Unless there's huge investment to come Gianfranco Zola might have made a big mistake taking the Birmingham job. with that average squad and limited resources any new manager would do brilliantly just to replicate Gary Rowett's league points/position, yet that wasn't good enough to keep Rowett in the job.
