Unless there's huge investment to come Gianfranco Zola might have made a big mistake taking the Birmingham job. with that average squad and limited resources any new manager would do brilliantly just to replicate Gary Rowett's league points/position, yet that wasn't good enough to keep Rowett in the job.

I think the owners just wanted a "name", and whilst I do think Rowett is the more talented manager, he doesn't come with a ready made surname, that the owners can sell abroad.

Why is it that Arsenal loses when you start to talk about them being potential title winners

Wow the Scottish Premier League must be bad if Rangers who last season were in the first division and now look like they are going to get second place in the league

It's more or less a done deal now and it's a game-changer. Oscar may not be a regular starter but he is in his prime, has a decent medal haul, is a fully-fledged international and Chelsea look set to win even more honours. You normally wouldn't expect someone in his position to up sticks and leave, but who can blame him with a reported salary that high. And who is next to be seduced by the Chinese super league?
There is talk of trying to offer Messi a deal for £100 million, it is insane! |

Is that definitely right about Marsh? Sol Campbell was meant to be hitting triple figures when he moved to Arsenal a year later.

Do you think shite and then instantly just type it - any club that has a support of 50,000+ isn't exactly going to struggle in any league .... let alone the Scottish one.

Pretty thin pickings at Selhurst Park so far today.
Chelsea look flat and Palace are understandably happy to do nothing more than contain them. Actually, they are becoming a bit more ambitious now. |

And Chelsea take the lead.
Just like clockwork from Conte's men at the moment. |

Sounds like Coventry City could be in trouble. According to the Coventry chairman, the club will die if they don't leave the Ricoh Arena. Sounds bad, I hope they pull through.

http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38...linkname=sport As for Leicester - well not seen any of the incidents today but certainly not getting the same fortune they got last season! I notice the ref is the one was by even by the accounts other former officials had a bad game in the week.. Not enough refs to go around for any to be dropped? |

You know who Rangers are, right?
They were the team who was relegated to the third division only four years ago. And now are second place in the league behind Celtic and in front of Aberdeen who were challenging Celtic for the title last season Yes i know they get fifty thousand each game. But that should not be the reason why Rangers are doing so well. If the standard of the Scottish league was better then Rangers would not be in second place eleven points behind Celtic. It is like none of the other teams in the league have improved to close the gap since Rangers were in the third division. But it seems Rangers have just because they have a big stadium When i see the Rangers team. I dont see any top class players in their side. But the players seem to be better than the rest of the teams in the league including Aberdeen |

No wonder Mourinho isn't keen to give Zlatan a rest - proving to be the key difference again.
We all know he has the ability but did Man U fans expect this much from somebody in their mid 30s? |

Tomorrow's games should be fun, as neither City nor Arsenal can really afford to get beat, such is the pressure from the teams below them.
