Not cocky just confident, there is a difference, and three points is not really that much a gap at this stage, if they were in Chelsea's position points wise, then you would have a fair point about position wise, but they are not.
And if you were enjoying a similar lead over them as Chelsea are you would have a fair point about them needing to be 'very fortunate' to finish above you, but you're not. You're behind them.

Fair enough, I am not going to start 2017 with a row, so I will agree with you here.

Happy New Year, I hope that you have a great 2017!

No the thing is that they won't be lucky to finish above you.

City will be very fortunate to finish above us, their defence is shockingly poor despite spending an ungodly amount of cash on so many different defenders.
More tainted hyperbole from you - City's"shockingly poor" defence has conceded just 2 goals more than United (and Liverpool). And if they finish above you, it won't be fortunate, especalls if they adol to the three points they've already earned against United when you meet again at The Etihad.

There's no row, just like there's never a debate.

You both make very good points, maybe I was a tad excitable over yesterday's result.

Either way, happy new year to the pair of you, may we turn over a new leaf, and hopefully get on better this year than last year.

I hope on a personal level you both have a good 2017.

Okay then, let's put this behind us, and start the new year in a positive manner.

I imagine 2017 will be much like the twelve years that came before it.

Spurs a few goals up, they'll be very fortunate to win this game

Goal difference could be crucial in an attempt for an top 4 place.

Everyone seems to be writing spurs off for a top 4 place which I don't get

Watford have the look of relegation candidates. They maybe lucky the bottom 3 seem incapable of anything.

It's starting to look like any 4 from the current top 6

I am not writing them off, personally I think the top four come the end of the season will include them (Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and ourselves is how I think it will be).

Missed the 3rd goal but Kanes 2nd, the 2 centerbacks literally just stood there and watched.

They have offered nothing. Just up to Spurs how many they are satisfied with.

Are Watford really a Premier League side? They don't seem to have any plan of attack whatsoever and their midfield are all shockingly bad in possession.

Still don't think you will be top 4 but I think you will have a high amount of points in fifth or sixth which is usually more than enough most seasons .

Think this is due to how low the standard is with the other 14 this season eg Everton 7th who are absolutely woeful

Another three goals in the remaining 30 minutes and Spurs will equal the record for biggest Premier League away win.

Does anybody remember who set that record?

Solksjaer and some other lads battered Forest that time. Second place is Swindon Town's stunning 7-1 win at Highbury in 1994

When the PL was the old First Division, Liverpool beat Crystal Palace away 9-1.

Indeed, Jan Aage Fjortoft's double hat trick in front of the North Bank mural is part of Premier League folklore.
