Anybody bothering to watch Middlesbrough vs. Leicester right now? It's extremely boring.

Mike Dean getting himself top billing again. Shocking decision yet again from him.

The officials in this league are not good enough.

Mike Dean is a disgrace. How is he allowed to referee these games? Each time he turns out there's at least one bizarre decision. Worst referee in the country by a light year.

Birmingham City sacking Gary Rowett and appointing Gianfranco Zola has been one of the worst decisions ever made

Not just him. So many of the refs are shocking.

My main bone of contention is how massively inconsistent they are in standards. Not just between each other, but even themselves. One week to another, no doubt because of having watched the TV and been influenced by newspapers. It's a human job and they are damaged by human cowardice.

The amount of money etc in football now and the competitiveness of the Premier League means that a poor ref decision might have terrible consequences for a team and that just isn't fair.

Why would they not just introduce a video referee in the stands? The argument about the game being stopped is null and void because Jones, by rolling around after the tackle had stopped the game anyway. The tackle comes in, Mike Dean goes up to the video referee who tells him "Mike, had a look and it is yellow at worst". Mike Dean avoids a whole 2 days of newspaper articles and pundit analysis about him...unless (and this is the worrying devil's advocate) the refs actually want the headlines and attention.

Of course it is maddening as a player because the refs have carte blanche to do whatever and if you challenge their decision they either tell you to shut up and ignore you, or they give the player a yellow.

Man united are still the poorest of the top 6 for me and lack the quality to take a game by the neck and go for it, in the circumstances that's been handed to them

The other 5 have a lot more attacking quality

And yet somehow now they are just 1 point off fourth.

Their keeper makes up a lot of ground for them that is arguably undeserved for their lack of fluidity and quality up front.

Thanks for posting this. Was worried we wouldn't get the breakthrough, saw your post and knew it was coming

Our attack has been poor today but recently it's been great. Been some shocking finishing all season though.

This is true they have been efficient for a number of years , especially the final fergie year where the somehow won the league with everyone else imploding .

Still not sure this style will get them into the top 4 with the league now split as 6 and 14 now.

I will hold my hand up at the end of the season if you are any higher than fifth for the reasons as described.

It's all about opinions

Disagree btw. Sometimes you need to treat those pundits/commentators with the disrespect and sarcasm they deserve.

"Manager X, are you happy you won/ sad you lost today?"

Had them outside top four before season started and still believe that will happen,

How on earth does the linesman not give that offside?

Wait, how were we efficient in Fergie's last year? Second half of the season there were a few results that were ground out but the first half of the year our defence was pretty poor and we got by on outscoring everyone, before the new year we already 8 wins in games where we'd conceded at least 2 goals.

I've got no problem with you thinking we'll finish outside the top four. Just think that the attack is progressing well, was shaky as **** early on but since Mkhitaryan came in and Pogba started to improve we've been fine at breaking teams down.

Quite disgracefully bad linesman decision making there

Game handed to them with that one

Surely Dean and his assistants have to face some sort of demotion for a few weeks after this?
