To be fair after the shocker that was the decision to rule out Ibra's goal v Middlesbrough for no apparent reason, we deserved to get a decision to in our favour.

They do say everything evens itself out anyway, in our case it just has.

You could say where would Chelsea be without Costa, Arsenal without Sanchez etc, all teams have an important player olor two.

Ibra is but just one of our most important players, along with Carrick, Herrera, Pogba, De Get and Valencia.

Bless.

Considering you had us finishing 7th a few weeks ago, this must be killing you.

I wouldn't get too cocky you very well still could. Hasn't anyone seen enough of the league this year to see that it is going to be very tight between at least 2nd-6th? You've won 6 in a row now and yet you're still 6th.

What about Mkhitaryan's offside scorpion kick?

Well there is that, but hopefully that doesn't mean something dodgy will go against us to make up for that majestic piece of art!

I think you got two decisions in your favour...but that's about right for Man Utd, one decision against and two or three in favour.

Yeah it can't just be the fact Mike Dean is an awful referee. Fergie owns the FA...or something.

Really, we have had plenty of decisions go against us this season, how we have had only one penalty all season long is baffling!

Perhaps starting to even itself out then based on the last 20+ years.

Maybe it's just that the PL refs are not very good, any of them.

I think you can excuse a lot of decisions on the speed of play, ref not in the correct position and having to make quick decisions....tonight's game there was no excuse, the red card given was right in front of the ref, and the offside, the linesman was in the perfect spot and it was a slow build up.

What didn't help was he actually went to play on but saw Jones in pain lying on the floor then got the red card out (whilst a few Man U players were doing the old surrounding the ref as ALL teams do..)

2nd goal had 3 players potentially offside...

The foul by Kouyate in the 2nd half that didn't even get a yellow was far worse.

Exactly, but where are the people complaing about that, oh wait, it doesn't fit their narrative does it?

I think refs are poor because, despite being told repeatedly by pundits that they can only give something if they see it, they often give decisions for something the didn't see, because tv repeats show us that it didn't happen. Secondly, they bottle far too many decisions and lastly, they are allowing the laws of the game to be eroded.

This.

The current state of officiating means there is a well developed cliche that it "all evens itself up eventually". But that is only because there is inevitably multiple **** ups each week that all contradict one another. It would be much better if there was very rarely things to "even up" throughout the season.

You started the debate citing you have had only one penalty, but it doesn't suit your narrative to compare the penalties awarded against you, the grand total of 2. It's hardly some sort of conspiracy.

Erm I'm complaining about that. It fits my narrative perfectly, the narrative being that the decisions are so wildly contradictory and inconsistent when they really shouldn't be.

If Mike Dean thinks the Jones tackle was a red that's one thing. Then send off Kouyate as well. And if he keeps that up match after match with those same standards then although I think that is harsh, at least I can respect that is his opinion.

My problem is that the refs are COWARDS. Mike Dean will go home tonight, see his **** up on TV and then next match he will bottle a red card.

There's not a great deal of points between 2nd and 6th now. How many points we we behind a top 4 spot 6 games ago? Certainly don't think it was 3 points.

What on earth do you mean ? Are you suggesting because that tackle was missed we should all be happy as it's "evened itself out" ?

Too many over the top injury feigners and if their Oscar winning performance fails to con the ref, his teammates will chip in with their 'that was an unfair and disgusting assault' performance. Weak refs like Dean who didn't even see the tackle will then pull out a red card, thus ruining the match.

It's the same players that do this rolling on the floor in agony routine and it's always the same idiot refs that fall for it.

It's the refereeing consistency that gets to me, Fernandinhos sending off today for example, yeh you can see why he gave it but that tackle could happen next week and **** all will be given, Rojo has got away with a couple just as bad if not worse.

Us City fans tend to think we get the rougher edge of the stick than most and Mason didn't do anything to help that today, I was at the game and he was terrible.

Ah, it was your turn for Mason then! I haven't seen anything of your game but his performance at OT the other day was as inept as I've witnessed for a long time.

It's only one less penalty than we've had. We haven't had as many offside goals as you though.
