In terms of a "better eleven", then Spurs have a very good eleven (if we are using the "if everyone was fit" criteria), and I would say that theirs is better than City's as their defence is way better than City's, and Kane so far this season is proving more than a match for Aguero, and their midfield is just as good as City's best possible midfield (again if we are dropping of Sterling, De Bruyne, Silva or Aguero, as they all cannot play together).
Spurs don't have a better first 11 than City though all things being equal. They've taken super advantage of an inconsistent league and are riding on huge momentum and huge credit to them and they have a top class striker, but if City had a consistent fully fit squad and put all their eggs in the league basket they'd finish above Spurs 9 times if this season was played 10 times imo

I mean Spurs' best player might not even make the City team if you're only going one up front. City would only really take Aldeirweld (sp?) tbh. Maybe Alli at a push but young English players seem to find the step up too much when they join City

They will get an absolute hiding from psg though
We'll see, in the meantime they have managed to cling on at Bournemouth 4-0, a scoreline which flatters Bournemouth..

I dunno if they'll get a hiding though, they could nick a few goals, that PSG defence looked very shaky at times when Chelsea attacked them. They get no test all year domestically

I'd imagine PSG will go through but remember City topped a group with Juventus. If I had to send any English team to play PSG it'd be City at the moment given Chelsea's poor season

Any concinedence that De Bruyne makes a return and City score 4? I think not.

Him getting injured when he did killed them. Kinda ridiculous when the money spent shouldn't see them rely on any one player.

True but also in the two key games v Juve they lost both.

That's it, Norwich have won!

Extraordinary climax at Carrow Road.

I think the win was deserved even though Newcastle had more of the match in the second half - but to come back twice against your relegation rivals and then concede just a minute or two afterwards is nothing short of suicidal.

I can't see how Newcastle are going to stay up, personally, but you could make a good claim for both sides going down on the basis of that match as neither defended at anywhere near an acceptable level.

Bad day for Sunderland on today's results.

Do think Spurs squad is the best in the league for all round quality close to 2 decent players for every position

Lloris is better than Hart I would say, both of Spurs' centre-backs are more than a match for City's (and really only Kompany can come into the equation, but as said previously he is becoming a bit of an unreliable player due to City not knowing when he will be fit, or if he is fit, how long it will be before he is injured once again).

Midfield is close, but both sides are more than equal here, and so the forwards remain just as close, so the deciding factor is the defence of both sides, and for me Spurs win that hands down, so the overall "best eleven if everyone was fit" goes to Spurs for me out of them and City.

I agree you can get goals against psg but I think city are too poor defensively for the business end of europe

Sunderland and Newcastle game in hand is with Arsenal and city respectively not looking good for them although Norwich deserve a lot of credit .

I thought before his injury he was showing the sort of form for City that made him the player of year in Germany. Such players are not easily replaced or covered for in a squad.

PSG have got huge quality throughout their team, far more so than City, I wouldn't be surprised at all if after both legs PSG have scored quite a few, as for me, they are third favorites behind Barca and Bayern.

If you are talking about teams looking shaky at the back, then City have looked like that all throughout this season.

De Bruyne is a quality signing, no doubt about that, but the key question still remains unanswered, who gets put on the bench if Silva, Sterling and De Bruyne are all fit, as they all tend to want to play similar roles in the team.

Yeah if they had De Bruyne fit all year they'd be right up there in the title race imo

True, they're def a bit short of Europe's elite but as I said every English team is sadly, they're the best of what is currently a very mediocre bunch

Why, who do you see as being able to get out of the bottom three out of the teams that are currently in it?

Spurs are more tactically flexible than City, which works well in this, season of seasons.

But I went for City to win the title at the start of the season, purely because their squad was more complete than others. I truly believe that had Aguero, De Bryune, Silva and Kompany had a run of games together, they would've walked this league.

City and Arsenal winning just puts added pressure on Spurs to finish second. If both clubs didn't drop silly points in February and March this could've been a four-way fight.

Yep batdude seems to completely ignore City have been unlucky with injuries this season. It plays a massive role. In 2012 did anyone get injured hardly?

Okay, enough of that, now let's see if Liverpool can do Leicester a favour and also put the wind up teams chasing a top four spot, by beating Spurs.

Well I dunno Sunderland maybe, given they could be a point off if they win their game in hand

It's hardly done and dusted!

You see that's it, if you had to restart the season I'd imagine most would back City, I certainly would. They'll be bookies favourites next season for a reason when this year ends.

With finally what looks like an injury free side coming together I'd be very surprised if they didn't get top 4 now

All teams suffer with injuries, my team more than most this season!

If we had had a settled team who knows we could have been in with a shout of contending with the very best at the top of the league!

City have actually been lucky when compared with ourselves, they have not had over ten first team players out at once like we have, so I wouldn't say they have had a bad season when looking at their injury situation.

Well I dunno Sunderland maybe, given they could be a point off if they win their game in hand

It's hardly done and dusted!
I guess Defoe is their one and only hope, but it is looking like a forlorn one at this stage.

Can't wait for this one. Massive, massive, massive game. Have a feeling it will be very entertaining too.

0-0 then

Lets see what the summer brings in terms of managerial appointments and transfers before saying who will be favorites for the league title next season.
