MU must be fined, traffic in London, who'd have guessed!

I haven't heard anyone I regard as knowledgeable about football use terms like flukey in relation to Leicester and I don't expect I ever will: no current or retired professional footballer or manager, no sports journalist and no pundit.

I don't know if it's true but there was a story floating around a few weeks back about a woman who "persuaded" her husband to cash out his bet for around £30k.

She apparently said "We'll have to see if my marriage survives if Leicester do go on and win it"

Quite a few other people have bailed out as well so I suppose they've got mixed emotions - delighted to score around £30k but gutted they didn't hold their nerve.

great player but actually very poor today tbh

Graeme Souness has ivanovic in his team of the season... Now that is madness, even by any objective viewpoint surely?

That's an interesting point because when Leicester win the title, I imagine many people will start to consider whether they will be able to kick on and become a permanent top side or if they'll just be a one season wonder.

The only real precedent which could give any indication either way is what happened to Blackburn the season after they won the title; they got off to a bad start, they struggled for the rest of the reason and only ended up finishing seventh.

Also, if a team can turn itself from relegation candidates to title winners in one season, does it stand to reason that they could do the reverse the following season?

I kept thinking Leicester are bound to choke this at some point, I don't anymore, I'm lost for words at this achievement for them it's almost too ridiculous to take in when you consider only Utd city arsenal and Chelsea have won the title in 20 years, all of whom had massive money behind them

What a marvelous position Leicester are in today: United lose and Leicester are guaranteed Champions League football; United win or draw and Leicester have at least one hand on the trophy.

This sounds weird and not loyal but I'm going to say it.

I'm 40, Supported Everton, since I was 5, live in Bristol, but never watched Everton live except on the TV.

But I sat there more anxious today, than I ever have done and it was Leicester I was watching.

They'll have to strengthen significantly over the summer as they'll have four competitions to contend with instead of just one, so they'll need to convince whoever it is that they are indeed now a top side I suppose.

But will they be able to convince any true, world class talent that they've suddenly now transformed essentially overnight in to regular title winners ?

I suppose the reverse is entirely possible. If they don't strengthen and find themselves having to contend with competing on fourl fronts with the squad they have now and then Vardy goes down with a long term injury, they could well find themselves in trouble.

Personally I don't think it'll happen, but I guess nobody thought they'd win the title this season and they have.

But that's my point. There's an assumption that they're in a false position (understandably because no one ever saw this).

But I'm hoping the shock factor would be negated a bit and in a few years, with the prospective careers Mahrez, Kante etc will have and people will look back it at and say, yeah, actually they were a pretty good side with some seriously talented players.

Interesting listening to Van Gaal talk about the experience of going round and round in circles on the bus today - now perhaps he knows what it is like to watch his team play.

Can't recall ever seeing Fabio Borini score a goal.

He nearly helped us win the league a couple years ago while out on loan with Sunderland. Got the odd one for us but not much.

He's scored against us on more than one occasion, despite being utter toilet.

Commentator has reminded me Van Gaal nearly became Spurs manager a few years ago. Just think, Kane could have been a promising full back by now., out on loan to Birmingham.

No, it was correct. If Spurs lose today Leicester would need 6 points to be champions - 3 from them beating West Ham and then the requirement could reduce by the other 3 if Spurs (and Arsenal) lose next weekend. An unlikely combination, but possible.

If memory serves, it was all but agreed and then United sacked Moyes.

Tottenham lose at home to Man Utd - distinctly possibly
Leicester win at home to West Ham - distinctly possibly
Tottenham lose away to Stoke - distinctly possible

Arsenal lose at home to Crystal Palace.- I give you Arsenal 1 Swansea 2 and Arsenal 1 Watford 2. Never underestimate what Arsenal are capable of.

edit: Also Man City would have to fail to win at Chelsea - also distinctly possible

Spurs give me the impression they are going to be in the mix at the top of the premier league for a good few years.
