Superb play by Milner, deserved a goal but Origi couldn't deliver.

On Nights like this it really reinforces how stupid the outdated away goal rule is.
Tie could theoretically be still open, but given the AG rule it's well put to bed barring a miracle |

Don;t understand this argument.
Surely Man Utd are more of a threat to Man CIty's Champions Leage place than West Ham? The presenters were basically laughing at him. |

Just reading the article about West Ham's Olympic Stadium deal. It's quite incredible really - it's like they've won the lottery, used a tenner from the win to buy more lottery tickets and won it all over again
![]() "Only" £2.5m a year rent for them, but the LLDC must meet running costs for the likes of: utilities; the pitch preparations, including undersoil heating and floodlights; goalposts, goalnets, and corner flags; the 'dugouts' for managers, substitutes and the fourth official; changing rooms; and security, cleaning and pest control. West ham have paid £15m of the £272m bill to convert London's Olympic Stadium into a ground for Premier League football, it has been revealed. And the club will pay £2.5m in rent a year, the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) confirmed after a battle over releasing details of the deal with the Hammers. The LLDC today made the terms of its deal public after a Freedom of Information Act request was submitted by a coalition of London supporters’ trusts. Any naming of the Stadium deal will see the first £4m return directly to the corporation with a 50:50 split on further income, whilst the contract also provides further bonuses for the public purse should West Ham enjoy success on the field. West Ham would be obliged to make further payments if they finish above 10th in the Premier League, whilst a Champions League triumph at any stage over the next 99 years would see the Hammers paying £1million. A goal from Liverpool before half time would set this match up perfectly. Have a feeling Borussia are just as likely to slot in a third though
Good grief, I didn't realise Can was playing. Has he touched the ball at all? This game has gone the way I thought the first leg would. |

Just read that Kevin Friend has been replaced from the upcoming Stoke vs Tottenham match for Neil Swarbrick (whoever that is) due to Kevin Friend's previously disclosed bias towards Leicester City.
Strange world where a Leicester fan refereeing a Stoke vs Spurs match would be considered a problem. ![]() |

All referees have to declare to PGMOL which teams they support or have other allegiances to.

That Origi goal has turned up the volume at Anfield. Unfortunately it seems to have given Michael Owen more energy as well ...

I was just about to post a comment about how disappointing Coutinho had been and he decides to make an appearance and scores a characteristic goal.
With modest resources, in terms of quality of the squad, Liverpool are giving it good go, I will give them that. As for how many of this squad will be - or should be - at Anfield next season ... |

The often unfairly derided Milner the provider, Lovren the scorer
