Well what an impressive 2nd half from Liverpool.
Klopp and the crowd really drove them on. Must fancy going all the way now! |

Weird to see a guy with a Bilbao scarf celebrating after Sevilla went through, must have been one of those god awful half and half scarves that he was displaying the wrong side.

With two Spanish sides in each cup. I suppose two England v Spain semis is a strong possibility

The favorites for both European cups are now out.
The Liverpool game was brilliant, best game all season. I would like to see two Real v Man City matches. |

Seville's record in the Europa League/UEFA Cup is scary.
Unbelievable consistency |

Bloody hell, those scenes at the end at Anfield.
I recently made a thread about the 20th anniversary of Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle and the climax of tonight's match was reminiscent of that occasion - not least the scoreline. |

Changes in the rules regarding denying a goal scoring opportunity - down to the refs judgement.

Well I turned that off at half time and only looked at the result a few minutes ago as I was about to go to bed. Now I'm up late watching the highlights on ITV+1

Congratulations to Liverpool that was a brilliant comeback, and a fantastic second half, I was not at all expecting them to go through, especially not when Dortmund got their third goal.
They I think now must be second favourites, as this tournament every year it seems belongs to Sevilla! |

I wonder if Milner, who many enjoy criticising, will receive any credit for his two assists: laying on the perfectly weighted pass for Coutinho to work his magic and then, of course, the cross for Lovren. |

If Sevilla stick with the goalie who played tonight then the other teams have a very good chance of beating them. He was directly culpable for both the goals they conceded, sloppy handling for the first and awful positioning for the second.

The draw for this and the Champions League later on will be interesting indeed, as there are some very possible and very good looking ties that can be made, even with just four teams left in each competition. |

Football eh? Bloody hell..
Not many people on Monday would have predicted man city, man united and Liverpool all going through in their respective competitions... This is why this damn sport keeps dragging you back in when you think you are escaping! (For 'you',read 'me')! |

Last night I think we saw what a brilliant appointment Liverpool made with Klopp. If he can do that with what is little more than an average premier league squad, just think what he will do when he has flushed out the mediocre and brought in some quality.
The contrast with Van Gaal could not be more stark. |
