I love the San Siro, it's immediately distinctive which is becoming less so as new venues are built to similar designs. No idea what it's like close up mind you, old Wembley was revered but when I went I thought it was a right tip.
I only went to the old Wembley once, and it was for an England match v Hungary with my school football team, and we sat on old wooden benches, not quite a young child was expecting of such a high profile stadium!

Milan's ground does still hold a lot of magic for me, as growing up around the Milan sides of the early 90's, I was in awe of it, so I would really like to go and see a match there, I think it would be pretty special.

I don't see the relevance.
I'm obviously stretching things to breaking point, but hinting that just because Bayern like Dortmund are banging in goals for fun in their league (they've scored exactly the same number, by the way) doesn't make them invisible or unplayable, and possibly has the opposite effect by limiting their experience of being seriously challenged.

It isn't exactly the smartest thing I have written, even in this forum

No especially as they still managed to score 3 last night.

I was thinking more of the way they folded under pressure. And with the greatest of respect I think Atletico defensively are on a very different level to Liverpool.

The San Siro is showing its age, but no moreso than the Bernabeu or Nou Camp.

I thought the Bernabeu was in a fantastic state when I went there last year, I certainly had no complaints about the seating or the stadium in general.
I will admit to being in awe of it, it was amazing!

I remember the Nou Camp felt smaller than I was expecting, it was part of a tour so it was empty which might have been it. I went to see Ajax play last year and their ground seemed huge even though it's half the capacity.

Ajax's stadium is one of the grounds that I would really like to go to, as it does seem like good one to watch a match at.

Another one would be Dortmund's, as the atmosphere there seems great.

I went to watch Barca play Bilbao back in about 2011 with two of my friends, and it was great, even got to see Messi score, even if it was just a pen!
I liked the stadium, the walk to it, and because it was a night match, the atmosphere was just that bit more special I think.

I went on a tour to Atletico Madrid's stadium, and that did seem a lot smaller than Real's I will say that.

Hence no relevance. 4 complete different sides.

Fair enough, it was just a passing thought, not worth any more of your or my time.

San Siro is an awesome stadium. It's weird though in that A.C Milans dressing rooms are modern-ish but the Inter ones have been there since the beginning of time!

Might have changed since I was last there though.

Liverpool will face a different challenge in the semis against a side who are very good defensively whilst Man City might enjoy playing Real Madrid more so than the other 2 as they will be allowed to attack them.

Cool thanks for that, I really would love to check that stadium out sometime soon!

I'm biased as a Milan fan but I love the San Siro. They have done some work to renovate it for the final. Toilets, refeshment kiosks etc.

I found the Nou Camp impressive inside but outside it's not as imposing as the San Siro IMO, because of the way the Nou Camp is dug down.

I'm heading to Madrid next weekend for a few days, is it definitely worth visiting the Bernabeu?

Oh yes, the tour of ground and museum is also pretty darn good, I got to lift the Champions League trophy whilst I was on it!

The scale I thought was unbelievable, just seeing it empty was worth the trip, nevermind being there for the actual match!

Getting into the Amsterdam Arena reminded me of going to Ikea, it was all escalators and one-way staircases. Came away with a scarf and away shirt rather than a lamp I don't need luckily, although they didn't have the ace meatballs.

I went to Ajax vs Feyenoord. Extremely steep stands!

They really are, we were practically up in the rafters and I felt a bit uneasy getting to and from my seat. One stumble and it could have been curtains!

And it could be curtains for whoever loses the Norwich v Sunderland match. I cannot remember when I last enjoyed watching Sunderland play, so I would be lying if I said I would miss them if they were relegated. I would miss the presence of the club and their long suffering fans, but not the football the team has been playing. Rightly or wrongly, I have long associated Norwich with an attractive style of play, and think they deserve another season in the premier league, although of course they can only prove that by accumulating enough points. Anyhow, much potentially at stake in this match today and with the title chasing teams not playing, I just might give this one a look.

Mike went a couple of years ago and the lad sat next to him must have been on the lash all day. He fell asleep after 10 mins & Mike was crapping himself he was going to fall . forwards and end up splattered.

Penalty to Sunderland!

Justifiably so, Wisdom went in on Borini's ankle there completely unnecessarily.

Borini scores!

Only Wisdom knows why he made the decision he did then; sheer footballing stupidity.
