Why is it sad to want our biggest rivals to suffer failure in their finals?
I am sure City and Liverpool fans will be quite pleased if Palace win the FA Cup, no matter what they do in their own seasons. Of course we have our own issues, and they do take priority over everything else, however that doesn't mean that we as fans cannot take some delight in Real Madrid beating City or (hopefully) Sevilla winning their trophy. |

That's football. Most fans of teams want to to see their main rivals lose and can't help but take pleasure in it.
The odd thing is if fans of Man United are bitter about Leicester winning. |

I want Liverpool to be beaten yes but as that result cannot affect our prospects now City are out, it's lost its significance. I just want us to grab 4th in the league and win the FA Cup.
So I'll be rooting for us in every game, and for Arsenal vs.City. That's it really, because if my rooting works, we finish 4th, enter the CL play-offs, and win the FA Cup! |

Interesting line up to say the least today. Not totally convinced by it, but it should be strong enough to win.

I'm not talking about mocking really, it's more of a natural feeling wit you have a real dislike for a rival to be happy when they lose...it's not somethign that is forced or planned.

It is when you are talking about it in advance on an internet forum. I get what you are saying but in this case sure there are more important things for Man Utd to be worrying about.

I'm not saying you wish them well. I'm just saying where is the credibility in you laughing at City losing a CL semi when you didn't get out of the group stages or laughing at a Liverpool team losing the final of a competition that they already knocked you out of? Seems a little short sighted to me.
It is not short-sighted at all, it is what football is all about, of course fans will want their own respective club to do well first and foremost, however seeing their rivals struggle, or get beat is something else to enjoy. |

Seemingly Martial has picked up an injury (gulp), and has been replaced by Herrera in the starting line up.

You've said this before, not sure why you keep making this point. Think I've seen exactly one United fan who didn't want Leicester to win and I certainly wouldn't have called him bitter. Pretty much everyone else is either happy for them or doesn't really care.

Attacking team selection or no, I have absolutely no idea now what's going at happen at Norwich. Seeing the team we have put out, win lose or draw? No idea!

Typical Van Gaal leaving Rashford at home and Martial gets injured and we are 2 strikers down, granted he wasn't to know Martial would get injured in the warm up but why leave Rashford out all together when the season finishes in 2 weeks, he is 18 and he will have the whole summer off it makes no sense to rest him we need him to try and get into the top 4. The sooner Van Gaal goes the better his weird decisions are the reason why we are currently in such a mess.

I will enjoy watching our rivals lose regardless of what United are doing. Call me Mrs Small time whatever.

I gave an example of somethign that would be odd, wasn't saying anything more than that on this occasion. But seeing as you mention it, there is more than one man united fan who has taken snipes any Leicester on winning the league.

I find it odd if a Liverpool fan or City fan wouldn't take some.joy or pleasure in man united losing. If you grow up with the rivalry, then it's natural. Their own sides results are a separate thing to that. |

I think that's just being a proper loyal man united fan, nowt wrong with that at all.

All Ive seen in a week here and lurking before that is constant complaints and talk of rivals from the majority, however its not really my place as someone who isn't a Man Utd fan to go on about it any more than what Ive already said. |

Depay gets worse with every game. He's got the touch of a bulldozer.
Terrible. |

Rojo and Depay are playing down to their usual standards. Depay is on a Saturday afternoon stroll. Rooney isolated. Not enough pace or power in United's team. Not even a trace of a cutting edge. Possession without purpose. Sad.
