I've lost count over the years of how many times we've said Rooney can't lead the line alone.

Even moreso now his pace has gone.

I give it 20 minutes before he starts running deeper to get involved and we end up with no one in the box.

Our midfield, my goodness it's shocking, no one tackling, no one throwing any weight around. It's games like this that Fellaini for all his faults at least puts it about a bit and causes a problem or two.

LVG needs to grab a spare shirt this half and shove in the face of every player during the half time to show them what colour shirt they are supposed to be passing to. The amount of passes to no one and no where is inexcusable.

Mata some how slows our already slow play down even further. How this is possible I don't know, but he's been a failure once more.

I think that's just being a proper passionate man united fan, nowt wrong with that at all.
I find it odd if a Liverpool fan or City fan wouldn't take some.joy or pleasure in man united losing. If you grow up with the rivalry, then it's natural.

Their own sides results are a separate thing to that.
Yep, Leeds have been showing no signs of leaving the Championship anytime soon but I'm sure their fans are enjoying watching United struggling to get into the top 4 after all the years of success under Fergie.

Misery loves company.

Norwich are just sitting in, playing like a team might if they'd had a man sent off. Even so, United lack the guile and the movement to break them down. Got to hope for some luck from a dead ball situation. Reduced to that, against a team in the bottom 3.

Looking like another ground out 1-0. Against relegation fodder.

Memphis still is absolute dog shite.

I would say at this stage a win is all that matters but it's been like this all season against the lesser teams, it's the reason why we're still scrambling for 4th.

OK, LVG got away with his gamble. So far so good.

Now for the real test - West Ham! If City drop points.

A win is a win. Nothing else about this game deserves to be remembered.

Three more points, and the gap is down to a single point.

Big, big, game now away at West Ham, plus got to hope that Arsenal do us a small favour, and not get beat in their match v City.

Think Arsenal will go for a point to secure third although there is the unlikely incentive to still and try and chase Tottenham still for second

Hopefully wanting to finish possible above Spurs will be motivation enough to beat City, as now that Spurs can no longer win the league, they might be a bit deflated, and not do as we in these last few games.

I can see both City and Spurs have a very quiet end to the season.

Do you mean because they will be secure in their league positions?

If so, I can see that as a definite possibility, but I hope that you are wrong.

You know that walking football on the Barclays Bank advert, well we'd absolutely clean up at that if we went in for it.

Apparently that today was our 19th away goal, what a criminally low total that is.

How is that even possible that we have such a low scoring total, and yet still be in contention for a Champions League place??

Madness really.

Anyone think that we might see Shaw against Bournemouth or Palace?

Oh yes most definitely.

I wish that I had a time machine, so that I could go back in time, to a period when scoring goals was not so much of a chore as it seems to be now.

The main relevance of that result will be as a confidence-denter ahead of our game at West Ham, and a confidence booster for Swansea ahead of their City match. Oh, 0-3 now, Swansea are on a bit of a roll!

Maybe, just maybe, the stars are starting to align for us...

Yes having beat Liverpool (okay their squad players), and now hopefully West Ham, that will put them as the form team going into the City match.

Hopefully the pull of wanting to go out with a home win will be too much for City!

We still have to play our part though, and a win at West Ham is vital, that has not changed, no matter the result today.
