Major investment, new manager, new style of play and new replacement for woodward.

Went all according to the script or something like that....

Bag of shite, we'll probably finish 8th.

As always:

Not enough squad strikers.

Rooney past it.

Rojo not worthy.

Blind not a CB.

Valencia is and never will be a defender.

Can be said of any game.

We need a miracle.

Blind isn't a Premier League CB IMO, whatever passes for one in Holland. Not big enough, not tall enough. If he plays, it should be to sweep in front of the defence.

So what actually is LVG's philosophy?? 2 seasons with no progression and no direction.

Woodward is responsible for this mess, he should be gone and take van flopp and his flops with him.

A 6th place fniish and losing the FA cup final would just about sum up this season now.

Well what can you say? Blind to blame for the first goal, and his challenge on the third goal was powder puff. Herrera, where is the player we saw last year? He's been awful of late, giving away to many silly free-kicks.

With Fellaini out of game, we have our only two central midfielders in the squad, whilst Carrick was better than Schniederlin, we didn't have anyone to match the strength in the middle. Not having TFM available was a mistake, inexperienced yes, but he likes to tackle, he's strong and might have upset the rhythm.

City handed fourth to us on a platter and we still ballsed it up.

LVG has to take a large portion of the blame but the squad just isn't good enough. Rojo and SCHD absolutely embarrassed today.

Relying on Swansea it is then.

Very disappointing result from being in the lead with not too long to go.

Blind's performance the worst I've seen for a central defender* for I don't know how long.

*I know he's not one, but wow.

Whenever we manage to score, we let too many in. When our defence is good, we score sod all goals

Another one of those to file under "had a decent international tournament" prior to signing.

Hopefully that will not matter when Shaw comes back.

It's done Batty. Don't do it to yourself. We had to win tonight.

Hopefully now we can have a change of direction because we're not going anywhere with Van Gaal.

Got what we deserved. After that spineless first half, how we managed to be 2-1 up at one stage defies belief.

If Martial or Rashford don't produce something then we have absolutely nothing going forward, and the defending tonight was schoolboy stuff.

He needs to move into the midfield and we need to replace him with a big shit house centre half.

Too many players playing out of position in this team.

I think the man is damaging my mental health.

I've even started to grey prematurely!

Yeah I should not do it, but alas I can't quite bring myself not to!

It is such a tease, close enough to grasp, but just that bit out of our reach at the same time!

God dam it, tonight was just such a frustrating result, and one that is demoralising, but at the same time, one that probably was coming, sadly enough.

Leaving aside the need for a new manager, what this team is crying out for is a few actual men. Look at the performance on the coach and on the pitch tonight, a bunch of screeching little fannies who looked like they were on a primary school trip and who's collective arse went constantly when the pressure was on, and has done consistently this season.

Something that I have said for a while, we need an extra striker, a more experienced one than Rashford, if we are to play Martial out wide.

It is unfair to rely on a player just stepping up like Rashford to be our main striker.

January was the time to bring one in, and the fact that we didn't is now coming back to haunt us big time.
