We can't deny that they should have had a safe passage into the ground, but they seem to want to arrive at the very latest moment, and any delays will impact on kick off etc. We saw this at the Spurs game. It's a factor in what happened, as if they had left a bit earlier they may have got through easier. That said where were the police knowing that they would have lots of people without tickets around the ground last night owing to the occasion?
Let's also add here that the way the media have been in a West Ham love in this past 2 or 3 months, with regards this ground move, they won't want to be too negative towards them now. It's a deflection tactic to blame United time keeping for this.
