A behind closed doors game could be played.

I'd be intrigued to know when they could fit any extra game in.....

After the cup final there's a few international friendlies before the euros.

A score draw would be fair. No matter where we finish the season will be the same. 5th or 6th doesn't matter to me.

Sevilla played their last La Liga game yesterday. Liverpool are playing today.

Life's not fair.

No, I would have played it in the best time possible, if it meant waiting until after that final, then so be it.

As it is, we are not, so just play it after the FA Cup final.

It might not matter to us the fans, but to the bean counters, it will matter, as the higher up you finish, the more money you get, and for say Bournemouth, that would be good for them to finish as high as possible.

You misunderstand, you are going on about both clubs needing the same preparation for the FA Cup final, but if you had been in the Europa final you would have been playing on Wednesday and Palace wouldn't, it happens all the time with no complaint.

The difference between 16th and 11th is £130,000 isn't it?

New deal kicks in in the summer 100m for bournemouth, dont think they care about a possible 400k.

Yes, but we would know and accept that the final was then, this however is a very different scenario.

I think that they care about getting as much money as possible, why would they just pass up the chance of trying to finish in their highest ever league position?

It's isn't according to what you have said. Both teams do not always get the same preparation time for a cup final. It's a bomb scare for goodness sake, it's not like it's an everyday occurrence.

Plus would be a tad unfair as we would have less time to prepare for the cup final them our opponents, better to have it after the cup final.”

I went to the England v Bulgaria Euro qualifier in 1979. Heavy fog came down an hour before the evening kick off and the game was abandoned. The match was played the following evening.

But it's not all about money. Why would it matter? They would probably spend more money sending fans back up to any game, wages , coaches etc . A draw would be better.

Just seen that the game may be played tomorrow on the training ground.

Yes, I know it is a bomb scare, and this is a very rare occurrence (thank God).

Yes teams might not get the same preparation time, and that is understandable in normal circumstances (like the Europa League final in the example that you mention), however of course this is not a normal occurrence, (again thank God) so something should be sorted put which is as fair as possible to both teams competing in the FA Cup final.
