Thanks,
I still think we could take from Leicester as I think there players know they will no be at the races again and the chance to join a big club doesn't come around all that often, the games history is littered with players who are full of regrets at turning down the chance waiting another year for a move that never materialised. Getting nothing however may prove unrealistic. Your list is a very good one though, and it is hard to disagree with the wish list of players arriving, although a lot will obviously depend on just who will be their manager for next season. |

The last thing Manchester United need is another "clear out".

Besides, we can't keep making wholesale changes every single summer. |

Indeed. I've said before that I'd be very reluctant to write off too many of the current squad as I think another manager would get more out of them than Van Gaal has.
Besides, we can't keep making wholesale changes every single summer. |

Oh I am in very much agreement with your sentiments there, it is just there does seem to be a special camaraderie at Leicester at the moment, and trying to get either or both Kante/Marhez might just prove to be a fools errand this summer (although of course I would love to be proved wrong).

being completely honest other than Rooney and Mata who I only listed as I don't think they would work in a 4-3-3 anymore, how many of the players would get into the Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal or city teams. Ones like Herrera, Lingard and schnerdlin an are the because I think all three of them are vying for one position in the box to box role. Because we Surley need to add at least one top tier centre Midd a Kroos/pogba level player. |

I tend to disagree as a fellow outsider, looks to me like they need plenty of changes in key positions.

Shaw will bring the best out of depay next season.
Rooney as a midfielder will be major positive as his last 5 games there and he's being our best player. Rashford and tony m hopefully will continue to improve Fingers crossed mensah gets the chance to be our number 1 right back. We do need a center back, a fast creative midfielder and another forward. As much as i dislike di maria i think under another manager other than LVG he would still be here at the club thriving. He was ruined by van gaal. |

The biggest thing this summer will be De Gea, if he stays, then there is always the potential for a good season ahead, especially as he matures more as a keeper.

I think the pedestal that you put De Gea on is quite ridiculous... There are plenty of other top goalkeepers who would be as effective for Man United...I won't comment further on this as its bound to stir up a hornets nest, but I just wanted to put my view across.
If you get a £40m offer for him and he shows signs of wanting to leave again, then let him go. |

De Gea is of no use if what's in front of him isn't performing, you just need to look at this season for evidence of that. He is important but hardly the key to the future.

It is all well and good dreaming of replacing him with Neuer, Buffon or another top keeper, but the very best hardly become available, and make no mistake about it, without any bias, De Gea is in the category of best keepers in the world, if he went, we would miss him, I have no doubt about that. |

Just who are these top keepers that we could get to replace him?

Tottenham found lloris, Arsenal managed to get Cech, Chelsea found Courtois, the likes of Tim Krul could grow into a top 4 keeper... It doesn't have to be the goalkeeping equivalent of Messi or Ronaldo to replace De Gea |

Liverpool are looking at keepers at the moment... Any of them would be possibilities... De Gea was a weak link when he first joined, he looked far from a top keeper...you could get a new keeper in next season, get him used to the Premier league and he will be up to speed in a season or two when Man united are ready to challenge for the title..
Tottenham found lloris, Arsenal managed to get Cech, Chelsea found Courtois, the likes of Tim Krul could grow into a top 4 keeper... It doesn't have to be the goalkeeping equivalent of Messi or Ronaldo to replace De Gea Sorry but Krul is not of the standard of De Gea, that is the problem, not many are. There are not plenty of keepers out there, that we could sign who would be a suitable replacement, and the ones that could be classed as such, their clubs would not be interested in selling them. |

CBJ left out. Jones on the bench. Lingard not in the XI.
Proof that LVG was only giving youth a chance because he had no choice. Rojo will get reamed. I pray this is LVGs last game. I'll drive him to the airport myself. I can't take another 12 months of this. My premature greying will spill over into Just for Men territory. |

Ruud Gullit made a good point to today. He said that Louis Van Gaal has trouble managing senior players because they think they know more than he does, so thats why he prefers to manage young players as he can teach them stuff that they dont know so they can improve as players
