Then they aren't actually fans. Just because you don't like who the manager is doesn't mean you stop supporting your club.
Obviously huge fans then, I'm sure their support will be missed immensely
Hardly. My husband's been a fan for 50 years.... then there's the rest of the family.

So we will see the first José v Guardiola match-up in China in pre-season, I guess that makes the sponsors happy then.

I guess this is how the Americans feel just as Trump is about to be announced as their President!

They won't really remember how they got to this point, just that it actually happened.

I guess we are in for a ride and a half now with José in charge.
What on Earth has trump got to do with United?

Why on earth would you imagine that this was Rashford's last game for United?

I must confess, before the match I was fairly nonchalant thinking that at least if we lost LVG would definitely be on the next plane to the Netherlands. But when Mata equalised, I dared to dream and as for the winning goal - the roof almost came off!

It's not ideal that the news about Mourinho is leaked today but to be honest, I'm not fussed. LVG must have known that his days were numbered unless Woodward totally bottled it. For me this is all just a good day's work.
I think it could be Rashfords last game as Mourinho would want to get his own players in like Ibrahimovic and plus he does not like playing youngsters unless they are top quality

So do you think Mata will leave this summer and what about Rashford, will he play for Man United again or will go out on loan or something
Jose probably knows it will be suicidal PR to sell Rashford at the moment - will probably get in a seasoned bruiser of CL quality and use Rashford more sparingly. Can't see him dropping Martial though.

And they think it's right to not support the club after all that time because of mourinho? Fairly certain the club will go along quite merrily without that type of supporter.

It was just am observation, as to perhaps the similar feelings they have to us appointing José, as both are not exactly quite and reserved characters are they?!

Please can't you stay in your own supporters thread? You spend more time in the United one than the Liverpool one,

Martial and De Gea surely are the two players that will in be José's plans for next season, as they are our best players, with Rooney not too far behind.

If trump becomes president it will be beacuse he is voted in. Surely you see the difference between that and a club employing someone?

What a strange analogy,

None of this is true.
I'm afraid it is. They're fed up and think Mourinho's the wrong man. They're putting they're support on hold.

So what happens if Man United win the title next season? Will they even watch any of the games in the title race? Will they celebrate winning it?

Fair enough, I thought it was quite apt, but nevermind.

Good for them, enjoy watching Corrie. The rest of the true supporters will carry on with their lives.

He'll get the odd 20 mins in a mickey mouse cup game, as will any player under 25.

Any falir players you have will be run in to the ground. One minute expected to be creating goals at one end and the next minute tackling back in your own penalty are.

He'll probably get you to another title but it'll come at a price. Your club will become a circus with one controversy after another. The football you have built your reputation on will go out the window. It will be replaced by ultra pragmatic, win at all costs football.
Will you be happy with just winning a big trophy or will you be left thinking there should br more to football than just lifting a big trophy at the end of a season???

We need instant success now, no excuses, because this loose cannon will eventually lose the dressing room and/or turn us into a circus. You all saw what happened in at the end of his last stint at Chelsea.

Probably. I think they need time to get over the shock of Mourinho's appointment. They're very upset about the way Van Gaal was treated. Honestly, I can't see my husband missng any matches.

It's really not apt. Trump is a horrendous excuse for a human being and his reputation for not being a 'quiet and reserved character' comes from him being a revolting, racist sexist shitstain who thinks war crimes are a good thing. You might think Mourinho is a bit of a dick but ****ing hell.

So they will watch and celebrate? But by dropping their support for their club for the sake of the manager they appointed do they even deserve to enjoy it as a fan would? To take part in the celebrations with the actual fans who supported the club through the worst times?

Keeping DDG is the thing - it's hard to know whether there have been any agreements/clauses after last summer's fun and games with him and Madrid. Another intriguing situation over the coming summer. He'll probably love Rooney due to his attitude and ability.

I remember the day we appointed frank o Farrell. My first thought was this must be how those Germans felt when hitler took over,

Fergie was never far away from controversy so it's nothing we're not used to. As for doing away with the football we're known for... Have you seen us play lately? That styles long gone right now.

Hopefully Mourinho is pushed to make use of some of the youth that's shown promise this season, and if he's looking to build a reputation as more than a journey man now then he should do too. He's done it in all the big leagues bar Germany now, so I think he may want a bit of stability to his career for a bit... we'll see though

Sky Sports just tried to interview Jose as he left the O2.

He didn't answer much and looked less than impressed.

He'll probably be on the blower to Mendes asking what he's doing.

But Trump turned up at Wrestlemania once, so, you know, yay Trump!

Rashford is becoming an established player and is already a full fledged first team squad man, mourinho doesn't have to bring him through, it's already happened.
