Red issue refer to a vipers nest and Giggs is one of those who is getting the finger pointed at him, along with Fergie and Rooney.

He would be a huge miss if he were to depart, as he is a vital cog between the youth levels, and the first team.

Of course this would represent a very good progression in his own personal career, but I would still prefer him to stay with us in his current role, but that is just me being a tad bit selfish.

The thing is we've had quite a few good coaches at that level, who have either departed to be a manager or moved up to first team level at United. We normally have someone in place at the club to step in, but I don't think we have right now.

I do think to lose him now would be slight issue, after all the other departures over the past 12 months, but I'm sure we'd find someone to step into his role.

If might actually do Giggs some good to go manage away from Old Trafford if he wants to step up. At least that will give him some experience without the huge amounts of pressure he'd be under. Then have a go at the United job after Jose if the club feel he's proven himself.

I said something similar on the day these rumours came out on Cup final day, it is a very crass way of doing things.

It seems like it wasnt man united that leaked it to the Spanish press though.

Possibly not but someone from within the club leaked all that stuff to the press that was being reported this morning.

Can't see it being Ed so there's at least a player involved there.

It really isn't. The leak didn't come from Man Utd and if Van Gaal didn't know he was out after the cup final then he is more stupid than most people thought.

The suggestion is that part of the reasoning behind Mendes leaking that on Saturday was to ensure that there was enough ill feeling for there to be no way that Van Gaal would consider taking the Director of Football role that was being talked about last week.

That sounds like one of the most unlikely scenarios yet

Not developing youth is a myth. The Man Utd youth is already in the first team squad so doesn't need to be developed anyway.

His Real Madrid team broke the La Liga goalscoring record. His first Chelsea team were top scorers in the league and his Inter Milan team were top scorers in the league.

Most managers are lucky to spend 3 years at the same club these days.

This is Zlatan we are talking about, the man with the biggest ego in professional football who year in year out delivers. His ego alone will only ensure he wont be a flop. People will mention Falcao but he has never recovered from a serious injury and Di Maria who simply took his personal thoughts on the pitch.

Zlatan on a free transfer under Mourinho is a no brainer. The young forwards and the team as a whole can learn a lot from him.

If you want a big ego, who delievers year in and year out, let's go bring back Ronaldo, who at least will give us 3 or 4 more years playing wise, who knows the league and the whole team can learn from him to. I'm sorry, he's played in leagues which are vastly different to the English leagues, and whilst his past is great, he's got to adapt to this one and I'm not sure he would do.

What I I find ironic is ever since Van Gaal arrived United fans and the media have critized the pragmatic boring football. Now they have Mourinho who is known as providing pragmatic boring football.

I tell you what if he can get us close to scoring 121 goals in a season, as he did Madrid, I'm sure we won't be calling it boring. His sides do tend to score lots of goals, I guess it's just the style in the build up to them that's boring.

Fergie was a complete pragmatist who always played his opponent. This idea that he was all out attack is a fallacy. The facts are that wr attacked strongly most games because we had the players to do so. When we were outclassed in attack Fergie knew it, hence putting 11 men behind the ball when we beat Barcelona by a single goal over 2 legs in 2008.
