Finally.

Got the man we should have got 3 years ago.

And the best possible time too.

No summer of not knowing.

No summer with a lack of preparation.

If we're lucky, Jose has already been deciding over the last 5 months what he could be doing with us.
Absolutely. We've wasted 3 years faffing around with two unsuitable managers, now we might get somewhere. That PL trophy belongs to us, and we want it back!

Hear, hear!

It has overshadowed City's managerial appointment somewhat (small time but I couldn't give a crap).

Great stuff!
It has also overshadowed the build up to the Champions League final, plus the England match where Rashford could be making his debut!

Can't say I am happy with all the money being thrown around nowadays. Still, three years and £300m plus is peanuts compared with how daft we all are to pay so much to watch it on TV.

Great stuff!

We've all known it was happening for some time now but nice to get it confirmed.

That Rui Faria is a proper knob, makes Mourinho look positively angelic by comparison.

The Guardian mentioned an interesting shopping list, without giving any source for the list,

José Mourinho has identified André Gomes, João Mário, John Stones, Álvaro Morata, Mauro Icardi and Ezequiel Garay as summer targets for Manchester United as part of an anticipated minimum £150m spend.

https://www.theguardian.com/football...chester-united
Its just a list of players named by a journalist, no doubt itll be another summer of ever player going being linked with us. Hopefully after his dreadful season for Everton we go nowhere near Stones, we need an experienced centre back not another questionable potential player, might as well keep McNair for that position.

Jackson from The Guardian is claiming that Willian and Ibrahimovic 'want United moves'.

According to SSN, Mourinho won't be saying anything until July. He's done an interview for MUTV and that's all. Booo. I hope he's spent the last few months tapping up the players he wants.
Well SSN are rebroadcasting the MUTV interview so that's fair enough.

But the Soccer Aid charity match is at OT on June 5th. and Jose is managing the England team (vs. Rest of the World with Rannieri), so we'll see and hear from him then I am sure. It's on ITV and their suits will be rubbing their $$$ticky little mitts with glee!

Ahh I forgot all about Soccer Aid, yeah ITV will be all over him like a rash!

Does that technically count as his first match in charge at Old Trafford?! (I joke)

Looking forward now to some very interesting and hopefully exciting movement player wise, and also to see apart from his ever faithful assistant, just who else will be a part of his coaching set-up.

I've got MUTV, so not being able to see their vacuous platitudes version of an interview wasn't my concern. I'd like to see a proper interview, with actual questions. Even a tiny clue as to what he's thinking would be good, that's all. Still, let's hope that by the time he does talk, he'll have something (somebody) new to talk about.

7th of July is apparently the date when he will be unveiled at Old Trafford, I don't know quite why we have to wait so long for that.

Anyway, it will be a nice distraction of sorts to watch Rashford hopefully do well tonight.

I must say that today feels like a new era in football, jose at the helm along with the biggest super agent on tap and a host of star players who can be conviced to come to old Trafford.

This is the genius for the "galactico" era for the club. the expectation is huge now and Jose is under real pressure to deliver the league title and champions league title during his reign.

This summer is going to be mental.

Rashford starts tonight.

Hopefully he will go to the euros and do well. The experience will help him, the only worry will be him becoming tired.

If he plays well he could change any transfer plans we have.

I might put a cheeky tenner on him to score tonight.

So happy for the kid, he really is the real deal.
Lets hope Jose is watching this and realises what a player he has on his hands.

It's looking good, thanks to a belter from Rooney.

Well part of that bet was good, shame about the Stones own goal to ruin it.

It was Dier but not that it matters much.

At the time of my post, England were 2-0 up and Rashford had scored first. Therefore, it was 'looking good'.

Do you really have to stick your beak into everything? Especially when you can't even get the 'facts' right.
