I would rather like to see Herrera get another season. I appreciate his attitude and willingness to put his foot in and leave it there and his passing is decent enough. He is not too nice, unlike others who perhaps should be out the door before him. On the other hand, if Mourinho has found someone who can pass accurately and deliver a good kicking, whilst making it look completely incidental.....

Came across this, today. Worth a read, as it contains quotes from some of his former coaches.

Done deal now for Eric, with his first interview today at 2pm on MUTV.

4 year deal as well, nice to see us start the summer off well, it must only be a matter of time before Ibra is signed as well.

The bloke on SSN said last friday that the deal could be done before he plays his first game on June 22.

And another story says if he signs before July 1 he loses £2m or something.

I know nothing about Bailly, but Mourinho's track record with young defenders is second to none. He's always bought top quality youngsters.

I wonder if he will sign another defender as well as Bailly. I wouldn't mind Varane.....

Just a quick heads up, if anyone here fancies it, tickets for Rooney's testimonial on August 3rd, go on sale at 9am today, so if anyone wants to be there for José's first home game in charge with us, then there is your chance.

Well if we read the papers and he's getting rid of Rojo, Blind and Darmian then he'll need more than just Bailly to fill the gaps in defense. No matter how good CBJ and TFM have been, I can't see Jose starting the season with them being part of a first choice back 4.

Well not a transfer as such, but a good signing anyway, Carrick has signed on for another year.

Apart from Robbie Williams, I didn't think Take That were particularly into their football

The Sun reckon that Jose has asked Mark Wright to come in July for a 2 week trial, didn't think it as April 1st lol

He wouldn't be the first person to be on trail with us after a bit of hype, (cough Freddy cough Adult cough!) although this would be taking things waaaayyyyy beyond that limit.

from what i have seen and read about bailly he seems very raw and certainly not ready to walk into the starting 11 next to smalling which is what we need, bailly seems more like one for the future. hopefully we bring in another more established centre back to play next to smalling, if bailly is our only centre back signing then that would be a big disappointment as he isn't the ready made player that we need and frankly as of right now he doesn't look any better then rojo or jones. with resigning carrick for another year, the likely ibra stopgap deal and now bailly i am beginning to be concerned about our transfer business. maybe we are just struggling to attract the calibre of player that we need due to being out of the champions league for the second time in 3 seasons, that is a possibility...

I personally think Blind and Darmian should stay. Blind can play a number of positions well and can fill in when needed to. It wasn't his fault Van Gaal played him out of position. Same with Darmian too. He was shuffled along the back line all season, not being able to form any consistency at all. He didn't help himself at times though, when he was bad he made some catastrophic errors, but when he was good he was simply solid. To sell him after only 1 season would be alittle harsh.

Thinking about it, their is only really De Gea, Smalling, Rooney, Martial and Carrick who don't have question marks above their heads. Seeing how Mourinho is going to shape the team this summer is going to be interesting.

Out of curiosity, who do you exactly want us to sign?

And Shaw who I'd completely forgotten about!

And Rashford, there is no chance of José getting rid of him at this stage.

A story which could be trouble for De Gea, but the usual caveats apply about not fully believing it as usual.

Shaw apparently didn't like the cut of Mourinho's jib when they met before he signed for Utd. Added with his injury issues, I think it's fair to say he has a question mark above his head too. The issues could be sorted out with time on his side, or he could turn into another (very expensive) Rafael.

I doubt Mourinho is going to rely on an 18 year old as much as LVG did. He isn't a guarenteed starter just yet.

And what of James Wilson..........

The allegations are apparently solid.

If the allegations are sold (a good run down of the story can be found @serendipities twitter feed), then I don't quite yet know what that will mean for De Gea.

As for Wilson, I fully expect him and Fletcher to either be sold or to be loaned out, as if José brings in Ibrahimovic and/or another striker, that will be them further pushed down the pecking order one would think.

Really? I didn't know that about Shaw. Interesting.....

Well, there we go another Fergie experiment that went south. Powell released as is Valdes, no shock with either really. Powell was unlucky with injuries, and the timing of his arrival, where as Valdes was always on a slippery slope once he fell out with LVG.
batdude_uk1

Can we give Valdes a new deal if something happens to De Gea and this news that is coming out today??!!

We might need another keeper if this gets serious!
