The main accusation I've seen levelled at Zlatan is that he's a 'flat track bully'.
Well even if he is, that will help us out if he scores plenty against the dross of the league that we've struggled to put away over the last couple of years. The amount of points that we dropped to teams in the lower half of the table last season was criminal, and was the difference between finishing 5th and challenging for the title. If he could have been on the pitch for the West Ham game, then I think we would be in the Champions League this season, that is the sort of difference that he can hopefully make for us. |

I don't think that he is, but yeah, I'd take it.
Rashford can do the 'big' boys over.

City are probably still having nightmares about Rashford!
![]() Meanwhile, the Star reckon that we're in 'advanced talks' with Pogba, and are ready to pay £80m. Madrid and Barcelona need to pull their fingers out. |

It'll be interesting to see how Rashford gets on, this year. He was something of an unknown quantity last season, but you'd have to assume that teams will be wise to him, from now on. Big season for him.

He will feature in more games than last season, so it will be an improvement for him all round I believe. As for Pogba, personally I would prefer if we went after Kante, if we were willing to splash the cash, but if he does come then it certainly will be a sort of statement signing. I am in no way shape or form getting my hopes or expectations up over it though, as the fee and associated costs just seem mad/crazy! |

The only crazy thing about the cost for Pogba is that we'll paying however many millions for a moment of madness, when they felt that Rafael and Park could do a better job in the middle of the pitch than he could even back when he was a teenager. It was that non selection and the selection of those two that prompted the departure. Even today I can't fathom out why those two were selected ahead of him. |

Are you serious? Kante over Pogba?

I do agree with your assessment of the situation regarding Pogba's previous time with us, and could understand his frustrations. |

I don't understand your concerns over re-signing a player like Pogba. No-one know how he would have developed if he hadn't left, its only speculation to assume he would have become the player he is today.
If he is the best out there and you can afford him then it seems quite sensible to try and sign him. He is on a different level to any Leicester player as well. |

I also don't really understand the worries over any perceived 'embarrassment', or being mocked by rival fans. What's 'embarrassing' about having one of the world's best young players in your team, regardless of how it came about? |

More likely to be mocked about ibrahimovic... It's a man city/monaco/Psg style signing.

What's wrong with City and PSG?
They seem to have been fairly successful, in recent times. Certainly moreso than us. |

I guess that as I say I have been brainwashed by Moyes and then LvG into accepting mediocrity, rather than the best, I need to get my head around to thinking that we are capable of signing the best players once again.

Good luck for the future Giggsy a true United legend, what he achieved as a player will never be matched again almost 1,000 games, 13 League titles, 4 FA Cups, 4 League Cups and 2 European Cups as well as 168 goals is the stuff of dreams, yes he played on for too long at the end but it dosn't take away from his achievements and all good things must come to an end.
I think it is the right time for Ryan to move on to be fair as he has been a part of the coaching staff or as Assistant manager in the David Moyes and LVG era's and they have been nothing short of a disaster to be fair. Ryan can't keep being given chances at United on the coaching set up because of his past successes as a player and not be held accountable when things don't go right. Ryan needs to cut his teeth on his own and become a manager in his own right to see if he is cut out for it, there is no reason why he can't come back to the club as manager in one day if he shows he is the real deal, time is on his side and Jose isn't going to be here for 26 years like Sir Alex was. |

Struggling to care much about Giggs at all, to be honest.
No point in living in the past. |

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36665691 The silver lining with LVG's failure put this future project to bed once and for all. Thankfully. |

Well it looks like Giggs is on his way out, sad to see him leave, as this season will be the first for me since I started supporting us in earnest, that there will be no Giggs connection with the club.
It is for the best though, as if he does have aspirations of being a manager, then those are best served elsewhere, and away from us. |

The question is, what does he have to do as a manager to prove himself capable of coming back to United?

I would argue Man Utd have signed bigger players under Van Gaal than traditionally in the past under Ferguson where he was more locally focussed with his signing of existing PL players.
I think once January say comes around, and José has well and truly been bedded in, then my brain might have been rewired somewhat. |
