Penalty practice might be on order for us, seeing as our two players missed in that shoot-out.

Both of them are likely to be sold anyway.

A lot of players seemed to miss penalties in that shootout. It happens, I'm not worried personally.

Links going around with Mata to Everton, would be sad to see him go if true, but José has sold him once before, so it wouldn't be that much of a surprise if he did it again, but I would prefer it if we did keep him.

Yeah seems like Mata is going for £25m, shame but not unexpected really doubt if he will be the last out of the door really.

This. I could think of a few more players more deserving of the axe. Jose just doesn't like Mata

Pogba not Going to United but typical Tabloids trying to create a story when not one. From what i am led to believe he would only leave Juve for Real madrid and they need to sell before they can buy.

From what you are led to believe? Who is your insider source?

Bit annoying that we couldn't get a tad more cash from them considering how much we overplayed them for Fellaini!

How much did we have to pay for Fellani?

He'll go abroad imo, Everton is a step down and he's too good a player for that.

£30 million for Fellaini. It's a step down but he might wanna stay in the PL. if so Everton won't be too much of a threat to us, i'd be concerned if it was Tottenham.

We shouldn't be selling him to another pl club imo.

As for Everton, I'd be surprised if it did happen.

If Everton do get a hold of him it'll be a great signing for them. If they build a team around him he will thrive and improve them considerably imo. He's a champions league quality player though, and not getting any younger, so maybe he will look to Italy or a return to Spain.

From our perspective I don't consider it to be a big deal if he moves on. He's been unlucky in that the two managers he's played under have employed dogshit/batshit systems that failed to get the best out of him (or anyone for that matter) and now the guy that comes in clearly doesn't rate him particularly highly.

Why not? He'll strengthen them but they're not really a rival of ours. All our competitors will have to play them as many times as we have to!

I think the one aspect of PL having more money that doesn't get much of a mention is that whilst Everton now have the money to buy players of the standing of Mata it could be a battle to persuade them to sign, see also Benteke to Palace.

Be a shame for Mata to leave but it seems Mourinho has other plans. Talented player but didn't really catch fire consistently at Man Utd.

They weren't a threat while Roberto was there. Koemen is an entirely different prospect. If Everton grab Mata, a few others and keep Lukaku, they will be pushing for a CL spot, no question.

Forgot to say that I'll miss Mata if he goes. Besides his obvious creative talents he seems a true gent and a player who never hid, even when he wasn't playing well. Perhaps his only failing was that he wasn't quite good enough for us to build the team around him and therefore we square-pegged him into systems that didn't suit.

It was just food poisoning he's fine. Utd made a statement on the website earlier.

Ah phew, I just saw a picture of him with what seemed like a bandage around his head.

Glad that he will be okay though.

He'll have been too caught up with setting MUTV on record from midnight tonight so make sure he catches Jose's unveiling crap tomorrow.

Quite a bit of transfer talk today...

Blaise Matuidi, 29, is reported to have flown in for talks over a move to United. He is represented by the same agent who represents Paul Pogba, another player who we're chasing of course. (Don't take my word for it though but a lot of sources seem to be reporting it)

There's a pacey 20-year-old Mexican winger named Hirving Lozano who has an agreement to join us after the Olympics. He will provide extra cover for us on the right-wing as I understand. (This one is dead cert)

Meanwhile, Mkhitaryan has apparently completed his medical and signed his contract, hopefully he'll be announced very soon.

Should be an interesting few days and weeks ahead.
