I hope so, I have this slightly irrational dislike of him. I know Fellaini gets a lot of stick and he's held up as representing how poor we currently are, but for me Memphis is the better representation of our struggles. I'd be delighted to be proven wrong but I think he's likely to be another dud that we've splashed millions on.
For me i think the difference is that Memphis has demonstrated a possible potential there which as a club/manager we dont seem to be trying to realise. Fellaini, for me at least, has demonstrated nothing but being an average midfielder for both Everton and United. The rare good game doesnt remove the 90% of other very average ones he has. When was the last time Fellaini was remembered for having a good, noticeable impact on a game rather than being a awkward bloke with an inevitable booking?

ill happily lay this on the table....No club will win the premier league with Fellaini playing the majority of games in their midfield.

Of course there are options. The drunk bloke that hangs outside my local Waitrose is an option. The point is are those options demonstrably better than Mourinho and the answer is no.

And also...Oblivion for the club? Arent you the one that recently described United as a nothing club now?
Oblivion was perhaps a slightly harsh term to use, however, we are treading water, and just going backwards at the moment.

José is a very good manager no doubt about that, I just don't think he is the right fit for us, there are too many downsides to hiring him (of which I have outlined in one of my previous posts on this topic).

I'd never heard of this Favre, that Batdude mentions so I've just googled him. It appears that the sum total of his achievements is jobbing around Switzerland, getting sacked by Hertha Berlin and finishing 3rd in Germany.

In what way does that qualify him to manage Manchester United? If we're stretching it that far then we might just as well appoint Pardew, Pulis or Hughes and be done with it.
Yeah, but it's not Jose.

Who needs a serial winner, albeit a bit of a hot head?

Not like that's served us well in the past is it?

Ah, ran to the shops to get myself some chocolate biscuits before the game. Need to inject a little sweetness into proceedings.

Sir Alex and José are not really that much alike, so I don't think the comparison fits.

Yup agree with you there, he just doesn't bring enough to any team that would be trying to win a league title.

We're in the shit Batdude, I can't think of a better fit than Jose.

It's like that foul medicine that you take because you know it works. We need a bit of a bastard to sort out some of the wimps that we have and shake things up. Too many of our players are in the comfort zone.

I want Utd to go back to being hated again because we're winning and have a manager who like Fergie is a bit of a Machiavellian character.

Ian Darke calls him "Marshall", annoyingly, as opposed to Mar-she-al

We are a maximum of 3 players away from the title with a half decent manager in charge. All this talk of us being a "nothing club" is disgraceful.

Martial and Rashford showing up very well, West Ham showing a stronger physical presence. 0-0 is fair.

Yep, especially with this 'look at me' clown we've got in charge today.

The game is there for the taking and Van Gaal should be looking at the teams left in the competition and be believing that he can win the cup this year despite everything going wrong.

To quote from his interview with BT......Mourinho: "I was lucky enough to have not just options but good options but I made a decision to wait calm in my corner "....

Much improved performance today - we need to make this period of dominance pay
