Mourinho says he won't be waiting until 31st of August to make the fourth signing, so it's either already at fairly advanced stage or we've set a deadline we won't budge from.

Is this fourth target Pogba or someone less obvious?

Paddy said it was someone who has been here before, so by that meaning, then it must be Pogba.

Fair enough if it's only one striker that's slow. Can you imagine us playing with two Sheringhams?
![]() I think playing both Zlatan and Wayne will hurt us. Maybe Jose will be able to bring the best out of them. Maybe. We'll see I guess. I'd just be surprised to see either Rooney or Ibrahimovic not getting regular games, which you'd expect would mean them playing together sometimes. Quote:

Our new manager is Portuguese. So what a week it'll be for him, being unveiled and his team making the Euros final, that would be amazing and surely cap off a wonderful time he must be having at the moment, that is for sure!

Or are just happy to see to players that had a hand in some of our more successful and enjoyable times.

Fair enough. Can't say that I'm overly fussed about someone like Nani scoring a tap-in, in a game that has absolutely no impact upon me whatsoever, but each to their own.
Nope, it's not. It's Gibbo. Straight swap with Mata. Nah, not Gibbo, let them have Mata for a good decent fee, if he does have to or want to leave. |

Some crazy high figures coming out regarding Pogba.
For those having missed the last RT from @DiMarzio , Manchester United have an agreement in principle with Paul Pogba for 13m annual salary. Goes onto say Manchester United's offer to Juventus will be in the region of £103million and it will be made formally after Sunday's final. I don't know how believable these figures are, but wow, that is a heck of an outlay on one player! |

He knows nothing. Remember after the Cup final he got into a rage with someone who said Van Gaal was on the verge of the sack. He wouldn't have it! 'He's just won the FA Cup how dare you say he's going to get the sack' - was something along the lines of what he said. And that was a story in the air for months! The way to look at what he says about players is that, like most fans who post on boards, he says who he hopes United buy, and obviously he hopes Pogba is going back. |

That depends on whether you were cheering on Wales or Portugal tonight.
In the paper today Coleman was apparently saying he wanted revenge on Ronnie for the wondrous goal he scored against Fulham - last minute, to win the game, Feb 2007 ... ahh happy days! - because that loss got him the sack. So ... it's comically ironic Ronnie did it again against him, and United did for him again, in a way, with the two ex players scoring. |

Crerand hasn't got a clue about anything that goes on at United until it's actually reported. I was watching MUTV the other day and someone texted in to say 'Ask Paddy if there's any truth in the story about Brian Kidd coming back' - to which he replied, not in so many words that he didn't have a clue. Big surprise!

I am a little concerned about Pogba only in that I recall SAF finding his character and behaviour 'questionable'. He may of course have matured and in any case, if not, Jose may be able to manage him?

As I said I think Fergie was trying to cover his back by calling his character into question. I don't expect to hear any sort of apology from him should we resign Pogba, it was just one of those things, but it's going to cost us a huge chunk of money. |

He's employed by the club, he'll have an idea but he'll have to tow the line. So the rant can be taken with a pinch of salt, he was probably told by the club to call in and deny the rumours.
And Crerand hasn't a clue about who is or isn't coming into the club until he's told officially. Nothing will ever make me think differently about that, 'knowing' him over the years. Like I said, he thought Van Gaal was staying put and had a go at a hack for saying otherwise. There was nothing staged about that., He's clueless. Everyone but him knew Jose was on his way. |

I think in some respects this was a case of Fergie bluffing a bit, don't get me wrong he was probably a bit shocked to see him moan and then bluntly tell him he wasn't going to sign a new contract. However, when you look at how he was playing the season he left, he was more than ready to play for us in that midfield. As has been stated we brought Scholes back and then to add insult to it used Park and Rafael against Blackburn in the central midfielders role ahead of him. Would either of them walked into the Juve midfield at that time like Pogba did?

I don't expect to hear any sort of apology from him should we resign Pogba, it was just one of those things, but it's going to cost us a huge chunk of money. Fergie always acted like the money paid for players was his own money - hence he didn't like spending a lot of it if he could help it! lol Be fascinating to know his true reaction if the club has to pay £100m for a player he got rid of for nothing when he was in charge. Certainly THE most embarrassing transfer ever for United, surely! |

We didn't 'let him go for nothing'. He refused a contract offer. You can blame Ferguson for not playing him, if you like, but it was the player's decision to leave. Ferguson wanted him to stay.
As for being 'embarrassed', I'm sure that would wear off pretty quickly, if he was bossing our midfield. Having said that, £100m does seem over the top. EDIT: Beaten to the punch by Tribec. |
