Trying to end it with a sarcastic comment??

Okay then, fair enough, let's leave it and move on then.
What? He wasn't trying to end it with a sarcastic comment. He was just trying to end it.

I honestly don't know how to respond to this, so it's probably best that I don't.

Beyond words.
That doesn't look like sarcasm to me.

Took Alan Green 16 minutes to mention the transfer story on Five Live.

'If Pogba ends up at Old Trafford for 100m, should Sir Alex Ferguson be made to pay part of it because he left him go?'

16 minutes. As long as that he waited to put the boot in.

Schweinsteiger playing well so far, hopefully we get to see this side of him more often next season.

We have. I was just pointing out that there wasn't sarcasm, despite you saying otherwise.

I have news for you too. Sadly in recent years the money has exceeded the commitment and ability that should go with it. I could be wrong but I doubt very much that Eric was ever thinking about his pay, transfer fee or agents commision when he turned his collar up.
I dont think thats very fair. Just because he can command a massive salary doesn't mean Pogba won't be committed whomever he signs for. Its in his best interests.

Cantona may not have been motivated by cash as there wasn't the same money in the game in the early 90s but lets not pretend he arrived at Old Trafford because of a love for Man Utd. Having pissed off most of France during his career he outstayed his welcome at Leeds as well and he was a player on the outside. He came to Man Utd as a player with few options and much as he did love the club he also handed in a transfer request too. All Im saying is lets not suggest that players all played for the love of the game back then just because the sums of money involved weren't as large as they are now. Gazza turned his back on Man Utd for the price of a modest house.

I don't get it. What's been let out of the bag?
Page is all about United and there is a picture of Pogba on there.

He's been excellent overall in the Euros.

For that reason I'd be happy for us to sell him. Looks like a completely different player - very VERY clear that he is at United for the pay cheque and nothing else. He is fully committed to Germany and not at all to us.

It could just be that he was hamstrung by LvG and his "philosophy".
I am willing to see if José can get the best out him, before writing him off as a lost cause.

I don't think that commitment really comes into it. Sure, he probably lifts himself a little more when playing for his country, but he's been hampered by injuries, and the Premier League is pretty physical.

He's also not had too much movement in front of him, when he has managed a few games.

Plus the tactics that LvG employed did no-one any favours really, so it would have been hard for anyone to show their true worth or abilities under him.

All if which suggests or lends itself to giving him another try.

Yeah along with a few other clubs, that competition is looking a bit doomed before it even gets underway.

'A few other clubs' = 'Tottenham'. City and Liverpool are expected to withdraw, but haven't confirmed.

I thought Liverpool and Spurs had already confirmed their intention to not participate?

Either way, it does not look good for the trophy if so many clubs, and big ones, are looking to not actively participate in it.

Yes, Tottenham have confirmed, as I said.

I can see Woodie targetting Griezmann next season as his big muppet signing.

Either him or Aubamayang would make sense if Ibra is only here for the single season.

He will hopefully have learned from his year with Ibra, and be a better player than he currently is, (scary thought for other teams!) and the addition of another striker to replace Ibra, will only reinforce our firepower, not lesson it.

I'd be surprised if we went for another striker. We have Ibrahimovic, Marital, Rashford, Rooney plus we've added Mkhitaryan who's handy in front of goal, as theoreticaly is Memphis.
