Well that wasn't what we needed at all, and all the more depressing when so many other teams dropped points.

Puts extra pressure on Thursday now, that might be our most realistic chance of Champions League football next season.

It has certainly turned this weekend into a downer one.

He'll blame the sending off if we lose this but we were doing absolutely fine until that nonsense of a substitution taking Herrera off.
Agree with this. Mata was an idiot but LVG killed our second half momentum by taking off Rashford and Herrera. Two defensive mids when we needed a win. And then the ultimate insult, utterly pointlessly dicking around with the full-backs with his final substitution.

We can talk all day about the Mata sending off but even with 11 men we looked poor. No movement in the first two thirds of the pitch and West Brom just man-marked Rashford and Martial, quite understandably realising they were the only two players on the pitch likely to even try make something happen.

LVG is not the man for the job but we're stuck with him to the end of the season. Whoever we get next season, I still maintain that this is not a title-winning squad, and barely a top four one.

I called it last week and I'm convinced.

The closer to LVGs first team we get, the worse we play.

The last few decent results wouldn't have happened if the team wasn't forced upon him.

Carrick is depressingly slow.

Don't wish to defend LVG to much, but had he not made any subs we'd be ranting and raving that he should have. Apart from perhaps the Darmian one which may have been forced, can't complain about the others, though I'm guessing Schneiderlin was brought on to shore up the midfield, which didn't exactly work.

Job done by WBA, but for us it was as bad as it had been against Watford earlier in the week. We just weren't creating anything, even before the sending off. Plenty of control in terms of possession, but we just weren't creating anything at all. The way they were playing that starting 3 wouldn't have opened anything.

The energy of the youngsters would have been great to see today, perhaps the older ones are too programmed into LvG's methods or philosophy, and so slow things down far too much?

Whatever the situation is, today was a huge blow, as we are behind the eight ball now, in terms of a top four spot.

West Ham are probably have the advantage over us in that chase as well.
Liverpool are right behind us as well, we really cannot afford too many, or any more days like this, if we are to retain any slight chance of a top four place.

Depressing all round really.

Apathetic capitulation after their goal.
The players may be playing to poor instruction but it's not that long ago that a United team a goal and a man down, would be bombarding the oppostion penalty area with wave after wave of attack, leaving a skeleton defence. Instead, we continue to walk the ball forward at snail's pace and make their keeper do absolutely nothing. Ben Foster could have called for a deck chair.
That's what I find depressing, it looks like the players could not care less (even if they do). I have to conclude that many of the players are just not good enough.
Our old enemy 3 points and a game in hand behind us now, just to add to today's misery

Surprised he swappred Herrera for Schneiderlin. Made more sense to bring off one of the attackers for Schn if we were trying to close things down and go for the point.

Hopefully those who don't want Jose because he might sell their darling Juan won't be as vocal after that balls up

Oh come on if Leicester's is a title winning squad, then ours is a top four squad, it is just that we have been without a fair few of them for a while, Shaw, Young, Rooney, Schweinsteiger, and Jones, are all good enough players.

If we had them available for te majority of the season, then we would be in the top four, it is just we have had to be disjointed for large sections of the season, so that certainly has not helped in any way.

If Leiceter's is a title winning squad, then so is any team in the premier league at the beginning of the season.

Arsenal win was good but not enough to convince me that LVG had truly turned things round. You might remember in the Moyes days how we were often saved by setpieces. I felt very uncomfortable about this whenever a setpiece goal would swing things in our favour. This masked some of our obvious problems on the pitch and this was exactly the feeling in the match against Watford. LVGOUT for me.

Agreed, it was "one of them" displays today, I was nervous about it even before the start as West Brom stifled Leicester last week and not many teams can do that this season. The moment Mata went, it was pretty obvious they would win, as I said in here at the time, but it would have been a struggle anyway. But I don't think our substitutions made any difference at all to the result, so I'm back to having absolutely no idea what will happen in our next match.

Luckily there was at least one great match this afternoon though, Cav and Wiggo's Madison ride was brilliant, and the Spaniards helped us a lot... we wouldn't have done it without them... small consolation though for our little Spaniard's misdemeanour.

A joke of a preformance that Mata needs his head testing. Why didnt Memphis play from the start hes been great last 3 games and hes Sub. I think any chance we had of getting 4th place has gone. I can not City slipping up for me LVG will be replaced in the Summer if thats with Jose who knows maybe Poch might be a contender. But one things for certian the money men wont like the fact that United are not in CL again. Would you seriously give LVG another 200 million after last time.

No problem, I would prefer not to broadcast quite what my surgery is about, as it is a rather touchy and personal matter (I hope that doesn't come across as too rude or aloof, as it isn't meant to, I just wish to keep that bit private, if that is okay?).

No, please not Fellaini back in the team, my mood which is now not good, would further sink, if that were to be the case.
