Well pleased for Ronaldo to win the European Championships with Portugal, yes he didn't hardly play in the final and it wasn't his best championships overall but he can always say he won a major tournament with his country which is something that he can laud over Messi. In fact watching him on the touchline showed how much he wanted it, if England had half the passion that Ronaldo showed we would do much better at International tournaments.

A fair few shouts about that we should go for Fonte, what do people think about that?
Experienced leader role? |

You already have CBs. Where would he fit?
Southampton already let Sadio Mane go. They wouldn't want to lose another important player in the same window, would they? And with the TV deal they won't have to sell him if they don't want to. |

It was just something that a fair few people on my timeline were discussing, however I do agree that it would be a hard deal to get done, as I doubt that Southampton would want to sell him. |

No problem at all with Rojo and Schweinsteiger being moved on. Even Mata wouldn't be a huge loss.
I'd be pretty annoyed about Blind being binned, mind. I think that he's hugely underrated, albeit slow as. Quote:
Agreed.
For that money though, I'd like to have seen him be more then anonymous. He's been ineffective, impotent and barely looks interested at times. If he cannot get 'up' for this final, what's he going to be like on a wet weekend in Swansea? |

I hope that we get our transfer business all sorted before the Leicester game, and we can concentrate on building the team shape and how José wants us to play, as we don't really want this dragging on until deadline day itself.

Mourinho's made it clear that things will be wrapped up sooner rather than later.

On the strength of tonight's performance, we're being played for suckers with the price mentioned for Pogba. There are several players who are looking way better than him on the pitch.

To be fair to Pogba it was obvious he'd been told to sit and play deep and not advance too far, which sort of negates a big part of his talent and appeal.
I'd worry or maybe not from my point of view how and where Mourinho would play him, I don't think you'd get anywhere near the best out of him playing him in a two, he needs to somehow be part of a 3. I think Kante or Matuidi would suit a Mourinho team much better. |

Well Greizeman was a bit shit last night too but I'd still pay a fortune for him.
We signed Pobosky after a decent tournament so I wouldn't judge a player so quickly from this one. |

Pogba looked dicidedly ordinary last night. I am pleased to see that at least one other poster agrees with me that many are both overpriced and overpaid. Ultimately we all pay for it via ticket and TV prices too.
If Man Utd were to come out and say that they refused to spend that sort of money on Pogba or someone else would they be applauded for their stance or would people question what the hell the owners were doing with the money taken into the club if not reinvested in the team. |

Anyone see the hugs give by Nani and Ronaldo to SAF as they came down the stairs? It was really touching.

Yeah, really nice moment. Found it a bit odd that Pepe got similar treatment.

And here it is...
Pogba's agent has claimed that he may well stay at Juventus, as they're preparing to offer him a new contract. Well played, Mr. Raiola. |
