I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed, but equally I do think that this is just a negotiating tactic to get the best deal for him and his player.

And here it is...
Pogba's agent has claimed that he may well stay at Juventus, as they're preparing to offer him a new contract. Well played, Mr. Raiola. |

And which set of fans, if not Man Utds, would be the first in the queue attacking their owners and Chief Executive were they not in the market for players at the top end of the price bracket?
If Man Utd were to come out and say that they refused to spend that sort of money on Pogba or someone else would they be applauded for their stance or would people question what the hell the owners were doing with the money taken into the club if not reinvested in the team. MUFC Trading and Profit and Loss. Perhaps the Glazers have the odd hundred million or two hidden under their mattresses! |

The other shareholders and financiers might well question the club spending money they have not got. No CL money either next year.

Am i reading this right? There is a united fan actually complaining that the club might be spending some money?
Wouldnt it all be so much better if the club was in the League 2 fighting against Hartlepool. Then we can all pretend we are REAL fans. |

Yes, I never said he wasn't.
![]() It's just stating the bleeding obvious to suggest that a player's agent may simply be looking to get the best deal for him. It's what they're employed to do. The only part of that 'story' that adds to what's been said before is that Juventus may look to offer Pogba a new deal. Not sure what you're 'confused' about. |

Juventus should have sealed the deal before that final
Pogba was the worst man on the pitch! On a side note, Sir Alex waiting to congratulate Ronaldo was beautiful. And Ronaldo's watch pointing (and other) antics the best part of the game |

Pogba was the worst man on the pitch!Any potential transfer fee would be wholly unaffected by one game. I'd have thought that was fairly obvious. |

Let's have it right, if it was any club other than United in for Pogba then there'd be nowhere near as much nitpicking on his performances.

No 'tin foil hat' or 'gimmick' here, just calling it as I see it.
I'd have thought that was allowed on my own team's thread, but clearly it's an issue for non-United fans. |

Unfortunately no. There are big differences between spending money wisely (investing). wasting money (LvG) and spending money you have not got in the first place and need to borrow it. Here endeth the (corporate finance) lesson.

I'm afraid you maybe shouldn't be lecturing on subjects you don't seem very clear about. Sorry.

And you are an expert?
Rio Ferdinand could have been "wasting money" when United broke the transfer record for him. A decade of top level football later and £30m looks like a steal. From a financial point of view it makes far more sense to buy Pogba at 23 (for example) for a large fee and sell on value than it does to buy an RVP type at 29 (for example) for less money but ending up giving them away. |

Schweinsteiger married Ana Ivanovic. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/spo...e-married.html
How insanely gorgeous is she! No wonder his mind hasn't been on football lately. He was busy following her around to tennis tournaments

More rumours about a potential move for Oxford. Just can't see W Ham selling, but the papers persist with the stories.

Even if they dont have it, which id dispute, most businesses will take a loan to improve/invest in their business. Its pretty normal. |

Ashley Fletcher, a youth product who people might have actually heard of, has signed for West Ham on a 4 year deal.
Oh, and Nick Powell has gone to Wigan. |

Care to explain where the club is wasting money and spending what they dont have?

I linked to accounting data so dispute the profit all you like. Recent "investment" did not exactly show its worth in CL performance either. Loans? Most normal businesses are not buying overpriced footballers.
I am sure that both of us hope that value on the pitch demonstrates itself rather more convincingly this next season than previous ones. The rest of your post is basically 'United fan moaning they dont agree with the managers buying' Big deal, most fans of their clubs would think they could do a better job of spending the clubs money. Would you rather the clubs didnt actually spend any or do as they have done and support their manager with his team building requests? |

Oh, and Nick Powell has gone to Wigan. As for Powell, that's probably his level. |
