Shaw's going to play against Wigan.
Great news.

I've got everything crossed that the injury won't have had any fundamental impact on him, and that he can stay injury-free for a good old time.

I can think of a couple. In fact, you've managed to think of one yourself.

Just noticed that Fellaini's not in that list, either.
He has no redeeming features as I said.

Perhaps his "success" at Chelsea last season is what attracts you to him?

Yes, it's a complete mystery, how he keeps getting these top jobs, and keeps winning things.

No redeeming features at all.

We'll completely ignore everything that happened before last season then, like almost relentless winning of trophies.

BBC reporting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not travel on Utd's pre-season tour to China.

That means Ibrahimovic's first game will probably be against Salford City in late July, or the friendly against Galataseray in Gothenberg, or possibly even the Community Shield.
What about Rooney's testimonial?

Could he make his debut in that match?

I only ask, as I am going to it, so it would be great if that were to be the case!

He is by far the best left back in the league, so if he can recapture that form, we will be sorted for the future there.

Good to see him back, the team at Wigan will be quite an interesting one I could imagine, as most of, if not all of the European Championship players, will not be featuring you would have thought.

We should have gone for Giggs obviously.

Tbh I quite like the fact that he rubs people up the wrong way.

That's what I meant, when pointing out that the poster had managed to identify a 'redeeming feature', all by himself.

He called him 'arrogant'. Brilliant, as far as I'm concerned.

Giggs should try for the Sunderland job once Big Sam goes to England, if Keane can get that job, why not Giggs?

That's why Zlatan and Jose is a great pairing.

Not enough arrogant so and so's in this team.

It's something that's been seriously lacking since Fergie retired.

Moyes is in the frame, apparently.

Although, that could be pretty obvious '2+2' stuff.

I honestly can't see Giggs taking on management any time soon. I get the impression that the Utd job was the only one he wanted.

I am willing to eat humble pie if I am proved wrong however.

We have missed that sort of thing since Ronaldo left us, we became too nice I think.

This will change all of that.

He is by far the best left back in the league,
Takes a bit more than two months and 5 league games last season to be making statements like that, I'd have thought.

Moyes is fast becoming the new Curbishley, in so much as he gets linked with all of the jobs, but doesn't get any of them.

That could very well be the case, and that would show itself if he doesn't put himself out there, and him going off to India to resume his playing career, doesn't exactly show that he is that desperate to get a managerial role at this moment in time.

Fine, he has the potential once he is fit and firing on all cylinders, to get that title, would that be more acceptable?

Yes, and much more realistic than the one before.

Are you going to start going to games again this season you're better and on the up?

No idea but I wouldn't have thought you would be saying "he's by far the best" and then say "he has the potential".

He had a decent start to last season after a dreadful previous season. The jury is out on him right now.

I think that 'dreadful' is harsh. He wasn't brilliant, but he wasn't terrible either.

I do agree that 'by far the best left-back in the league' is a fairly ludicrous statement, mind.

Maybe not performance wise all the time but he looked pretty out of condition and seemed to tire in games - not what you would expect from a swashbuckling young full back!

I was referring to his character as a man not whether he can win things.

And as I said before his crass and inept handling of the Chelsea club doctor farce showed he has zero common sense and showed utter contempt for another club employee. Any man who can publicly humiliate a woman who is his junior, publicly,
is not worthy of respect.
