Are you going to start going to games again this season you're better and on the up?

No idea but I wouldn't have thought you would be saying "he's by far the best" and then say "he has the potential".
He had a decent start to last season after a dreadful previous season. The jury is out on him right now. |

I was referring to his character as a man not whether he can win things.
Quote:
And as I said before his crass and inept handling of the Chelsea club doctor farce showed he has zero common sense and showed utter contempt for another club employee.
Quote:
Any man who can publicly humiliate a woman who is his junior, publicly, is not worthy of respect.
It's obvious that Mourinho is no saint, and that he's done some questionable things, but he's a football manager, not a politician. People make mistakes. It doesn't mean that they should be forever judged by the 'holier-than-thou' brigade. |

Let's see how things pan out, hopefully I will get to a few games.
Dreadful is terribly harsh on him, he did very well I thought before his leg almost got amputated on the pitch! |

If a man isn't willing to mug his own granny on her way home from the Post Office simply on the off-chance she is hiding 3 points in her purse, then I don't wish to see him anywhere near MUFC.

Then you should have explicitly stated that. You must know him really well personally, to know that he has 'no redeeming features at all'. Either that, or you're solely basing your opinion on what's published in the media.
Did you feel the same way about Ferguson, when he kicked a boot at Beckham's face, or turned up at a player's house to publically lambast them (or 'humiliate', if you like), in front of their mates? e The fact that she's a woman should be irrelevant. He didn't physically assault her. It's obvious that Mourinho is no saint, and that he's done some questionable things, but he's a football manager, not a politician. People make mistakes. It doesn't mean that they should be forever judged by the 'holier-than-thou' brigade.

I made no reference whatsoever in my first post to anything other than his character and none at all as to whether he can win football matches so I assumed it would have been obvious to all, but clearly not.
It's rather depressing that when a man who publicly humiliates a more junior employee (who happens to be a woman) is criticised it is because of some holier-than-thou brigade attitude rather than criticising workplace bullying. During my working life I alwayscly humiliated them in front of other staff it simply wasn't the right thing to do nor indeed would it have been a sensible business decision in the long run. I always found if my staff felt that I treated them with respect and acted fairly they would bust a gut for me and they did. You seem to be assuming that I either don't care, or even dismiss what happened with the physio. It's a baseless assumption. As is your assumption that Mourinho has 'no redeeming features at all'. You know next to nothing of the man. As for this bit: "During my working life I alwayscly humiliated them in front of other staff it simply wasn't the right thing to do nor indeed would it have been a sensible business decision in the long run." I don't really know what you're trying to say. Well, I think I kind of do, but you seem to have confused yourself. |

If you're simply going to post exactly the same as before, then I don't think that I'll waste my time replying further.
![]() Anyway we agree to differ I guess just wonder if United will rue the day (sometime in the future) that they appointed him. We shall see.

There's no need to get behind him. He's not your friend on Facebook, you have a locked Twitter account and I doubt he reads DS. Stick to your convictions and don't U turn. Jose doesn't give a flying **** about your opinion so keep your your beliefs.
I cannot abide Giggs. I never have and I never will. No amount of FA Cup semi final goals would change it so I'll never pretend to 'get behind him' although that's probably the safest place for a girl to be. |

Well, that's a revelation to me. I honestly never would have got that impression from the many Giggs "debates" we've had on here. Can I ask why the intense dislike? Sounds like it's more than just the cheating?
Added to this were the rumours that he was sticking the knife into both Louis and Moyes which is a pretty shitty thing to do regardless of what you think of their time at the club. |

Eintracht Frankfurt are supposedly interested in taking Varela on loan.
I'd have been keen to keep him around. We're not exactly well-stocked, at right-back. |

Meh, who cares what he does in his private life? A bit of ruthless disregard for the feelings of others can be a good quality in a football manager! (I'm joking here...sort of)

Given that Mourinho professed his love for 'specialists' recently, you'd have thought that would have benefited Varela over someone like Valencia.
