The only player that so far was not overpriced seems to be Ibra, what a coup he could turn out to be on a free transfer!
I honestly believe that as long as José builds the forward line around Zlatan enough, Zlatan could go for the golden boot this season. Prem defences just won't be able to deal with him I don't think.

With all the talk about Pogba, many United fans seem to have forgotten that they have already just signed the greatest centre-forward of the 21st century and a man who has a better career goals per game ratio than Lionel Messi.

I'm not saying people shouldn't get excited about Pogba but for me the signing of the season will still be Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

You talk the truth my friend, he is a wonderful player, and with the players we have got around him (Martial, Mikatarayn, erc etc) we could see him doing very this season.

I wouldn't be too surprised if he does very well in the Europa League, he surely has to be one of the favourites for the top scorer in that tournament.

He doesn't have a better goals ratio than Messi. It's not even particularly close having now checked

Messi, and Ronaldo are just freaks in that area, Ibra though is just a mere mortal by comparison, but a very good one!

Yes, I think both Martial and Mimatarayn will compliment Zlatan's style of play. The problem José will have is who to build the team around. Both Zlatan and Pogba are at their best when the entire team is clicking around them. Both are used to that- Zlatan has had it for four years at PSG, and Pogba has recently taken a more dominating role in the Juventus XI. So I'm not sure how José is going to make sure the team works for them both. But it can work, and if there is a man who can build a team which can work perfectly for Zlatan and Paul, it's José Mourinho.

I also think that Zlatan and Paul may end up complimenting each other, and if I was Ibrahimovic there are few midfielders I would rather have creating chances for me than Paul Pogba. I also think Pogba can learn and grow as a player from a legend like Ibrahimovic.

I apologise. I did see an article recently which said he had a better goals per game ratio than Messi, but perhaps that was relating to last season (where Ibrahimovic scored FIFTY-SIX GOALS for PSG) than all-time.

José has said that tomorrow Jones and Bailly will be our centre-back pairing, hopefully Jones comes through without any set-backs, as he has had far too many of them in recent times.

it's still a hell of a lot of money for someone who you wouldn't class as 'world class', not yet anyway.

.
How, Who and Why do you class as world class?

Hang on Jones played last Saturday, I thought he got injured opening the door to the changing rooms after the match. Can't believe he's going to play 2 games in a week and 2 in a row. This must be a record or something

the premier league is a totally different kettle of fish to the french league and he will find it much tougher to score goals over here, especially at his current age. i think he'll get about 15 in the league and hopefully about 10 more in other competitions, that will represent a very good season in english football for a 35 year old. as for the golden boot (its called the golden shoe now), luis suarez scored 40 league goals last season and there is no reason to believe he won't do similar numbers this season, there is no way in hell a 35 year old is even coming close to that in the premier league...

when you say ibrahimovic is the greatest centre forward of the 21st century your only talking about a period of 16 years, best centre forward of the last 16 years doesn't sound quite as grandiose as best centre forward of the century tho does it. a player can be crowned best centre forward of the 21st century when the century is over, not 16 years into it. in any case he's not the best centre forward that there has been so far in this century, messi is.

Just having a scan, and it does seem that Wilson, Blackett and Varela for not have a number, so I guess that might be telling regarding their futures with us.

Agreed. It's like people saying that Messi/Ronaldo etc are overrated. It's just nonsense that can't be taken seriously.
That's different. Not even worth the comparison because these 2 are actually NOT overrated. I think that most people would agree with that.

If he is in your words amazing how can he be over rated?
Overrated because the way that some people are talking about him you would think that he's close to these 2 in abilities.

Anyways here's what I think. Pogba probably wants to come to Real but they are not willing to agree the price tag that his agent is setting. Man U seems determined to have him at all costs so I think that he'll eventually go there. I'm interested to see how this transfer saga ends up.

Yesterday you sad Pogba was an amazing talent.
Yes I said that and I still stand by that but not worth that price tag . Imo.

If you yourself state he is amazing then at most you can call him over priced. Not over rated.

Apparently the City match could be in danger of being called off due to the terrible rains that they have been experiencing over there in Beijing.

He may have wanted to go there that's true. I think he will eventually end up at Madrid. If he stayed at juvenile he wouldn't join Madrid next season it woukd probably be the year after that.

Forgot to add that Madrid still have the transfer ban hanging over them like Barcelona did a season or 2 ago.

I still can't see him joining us, but that could just be a case of me not getting my hopes up only to see them dashed when he signs a new contract.

Who would you say would be above us in terms of being favourites? Chelsea? Spurs? City?

Pogba for me solves a fair few problems that we have been lacking, so him coming here would create a potentially very good midfield.

Who else would you say would we be in the mix with??
Chelsea and City are the major threats for the title. Arsenal and Spurs will challenge for CL places and be hard to beat. Everton could be the surprise package this year.

Much as I rate Pogba, I can only see him solving one problem. A fit and firing Schneiderlinand and Miki would solve the others - but we need back-up for them as well.

John Stones ? No thanks. Certainly don't think he deserves the hype.
Stones under Jose would be absolutely immense. Stones under Roberto was like getting a Rolls Royce serviced at Halfords.

I reckon Matuidi is the backup target if Pogba doesn't happen.
I want 'em both. If Ed were to make that happen I'd bet my house on us winning the league.

I honestly believe that as long as José builds the forward line around Zlatan enough, Zlatan could go for the golden boot this season. Prem defences just won't be able to deal with him I don't think.

I think it's Zlatan people shouldn't be getting excited about. I think he still has enough to do a job but I will be happy with him if he gets into double figure for goals and assists over the whole season. Anything else is a massive bonus.

Hey, just heard, really pleased to hear that Juan Mata is staying. That's a huge statement by Jose. Hopefully he plays him in the right position as well.

Ha a fellow Real de Madrid fan . How lovely . It is so rare here

BIB Althetico de Madrid as well.
I personally dont think we need him . I would rather see the club spend money buying another midfielder. Yes we have Kroos and Modric but I am still not 100% sold on James .

I am curious to see how Mourinho will manage this Man U team; very curious so I will be following the EPL closely in the upcoming months .

José has said that there might be two more signings to com, so Pogba and another hopefully, that would certainly show that we mean business.

Should be good to see the team in action today, Dortmund will be a very tricky test for us, hopefully we can escape with no injuries, and can continue to add on to the very promising performance from the Wigan game.

Just seen in another thread someone refer to to British armed forces as 'murderers'. I know it's OT but between idiocy like that and the scary cultist following of people like Trump and Corbyn you wonder whether or not the zika virus has spread further than we think and has started affecting IQs.

Season can't start soon enough, the world's gone mad.
