Just seen in another thread someone refer to to British armed forces as 'murderers'. I know it's OT but between idiocy like that and the scary cultist following of people like Trump and Corbyn you wonder whether or not the zika virus has spread further than we think and has started affecting IQs.

Season can't start soon enough, the world's gone mad.
Eh? Surly no one could be so dense to believe that??? Armed forces are absolute heros and put their lives on the line for us to stay safe.

Are you sure you didn't misunderstand what they've said?

Should be good to see the team in action today, Dortmund will be a very tricky test for us, hopefully we can escape with no injuries, and can continue to add on to the very promising performance from the Wigan game.
What time is kick off?

I assume the poster was referring to the tragic death of Corporal Josh Hoole in the Brecon Beacons on a training exercise- many people believe that his death could have been prevented if better safety measures had been in place, and are angry that army top brass are not held to account and charges are not brought against those responsible for his death and the deaths of other soldiers on training exercises.

2-0 to Dortmund after 35 min, very hot and sticky conditions by the looks of things.

Surely no one is watching shite like this live (aside from the poor sods who are actually there)? I just hope that nobody sustains an injury or bothers trying too hard.

its basically a second string line-up, none of this lot will be starting the first league game apart from shaw and mkhitaryan so can't draw too many conclusions from it. they are not doing themselves any favours tho if they are trying to convince mourinho they have a future at the club...

3-1 so far, Mikatarayn scoring our goal, which was almost a carbon copy of the first goal v Wigan.

I'd imagine most people are at work to be honest.

If someone is able to watch the game they shouldn't feel guilty about it.

4-1 it finished, and to be honest we never really looked like getting more than that one goal.

Monday's game might be more interesting now.

Silly question, but did anyone play well?

Yeah, whereas Rojo on the other hand did not do much to press his case to stay here with us.

Still, it is very early in pre-season, and we still have a fair few players to come into this squad, which will hopefully improve things.

Do you not see pre season friendlies in the same bracket as a testimonial? Just a casual kick about?

I like Rojo as a person, as a footballer......not so much.

Still think another centre half is needed unless TFM or Tuanazbe are going to play more of a role.

i dont think anyone see's them as important. but do you not get curious at all how your team is shaping up for the new season?

What do you like about him 'as a person'? Does he tell a good gag?

I would rather see either of those two play than Rojo.

You can't learn anything from these games. If you could we should be seriously worried because we just lost 4-1! It's a necessary evil in the modern game, having to do our bit to promote the game in foreign climes, and not worth any kind of analysis or, imo, any attention. If you've got nothing else to do then go for it, but it doesn't make you more of a fan, it just displays you have more time on your hands.
