So 9 players have been shown the exit according to the press. I must say i thought Borthwick Jackson was rather impressive last year and that is harsh if true. I do feel £100 million is too much for Pogba and United as a club are beginning to look a bit desperate. Then again if Ferguson would have done the right thing first time around we wouldnt be having this debate.

Didn't Borthwick Jackson just sign a new contract? If so just paper BS.

Think the report suggested he's not in Mourinho's plans for this season, which could mean he's being shipped out on loan. Might do him good.

Plenty of rumours abound prior to today that CBJ would be loaned. He did well last year, but could do with a run at senior level this year, highly unlikely with Shaw back (as long as he can be injury free).

If there is anything in it then I'm hoping that Fosu-Mensah and Borthwick-Jackson are just loans to get them much needed first team experience. I'm sure Mourinho has already namechecked the former as one that he likes the look of.
No surprises that the likes of Keane, Januzaj, McNair etc will be going, and it seems that Schweinsteiger is headed for the exit too. |

Can't say that I'd be too gutted to see Schweinsteiger given the boot.
Shame that we couldn't have got him 5 years ago. |

It would be such a shame if B-Jackson is sold, much rather we kept him, or loaned him out until Jan, then we can see where we lie in terms of squad depth on his side.
Schweinsteiger leaving would be a sham, but if (or when) Pogba signs, there really isn't a place for him,and with his wages he should be sold, no point keeping someone like that here, if we are not going to play him that often. |

I'd have him in the side ahead of Rojo or Young. If that was the case, he'd get plenty of games.

It looks like Madrid refuse to pay the asking price.

Rojo yes, but I think Young still has things to offer us, although not really as a fullback, he is far better as an attacking player.
That said, I'm not sure how much Young has left to offer, full-stop. If we got a half-decent offer for him, I'd be inclined to sell. |

Well, yes. I was talking specifically about the left-back position.
That said, I'm not sure how much Young has left to offer, full-stop. If we got a half-decent offer for him, I'd be inclined to sell. He is a good option to have in the squad, so I wouldn't sell, unless the deal was too good to turn down. |

Anything above £8m is too good to turn down.

Leaves us short at left-back, though. Especially if Shaw doesn't hit the ground running.
Interestingly, with his talk of preferring specialists, I would have thought he'd of seen CBJ as a better back up option than a jack of all trades like Blind. Suppose the squad needs serious trimming though, and Blind is more useful and a better bet to perform when called upon. |

Today is the day apparently we sign Pogba, nothing on the MUTV schedule so far though to indicate it though, hopefully that will change pretty quickly!

Talksport were practically wetting themselves confirming it as a done deal (yes, I know, I know) by early evening yesterday. Even though they're rubbish, I thought I'd wake up today to confirmation from other sources. No such luck. Oh well, happy with at least seven of the nine Jose wants to go. Like most, want him to keep both defenders. Quote:
I thought we had a cookery programme? I think Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke presented it - something about the perfect roasting.
I'm here all season. |
