Hopefully it is completed very shortly, it would be nice if we could play him against Bournemouth, but the longer it drags on for, the less likely that possibility becomes.

Yes it would be good to sign him quickly instead of close to the window. But as the minutes tick by the possibility of him being signed closer to the end of the window increases, therefore we won't have signed him quickly when we want. I hope that when he does eventually sign he is able to quickly be eligible for selection, as that will be a positive thing.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, it would be good if we played well and didn't pick up any injuries, as injuries ahead of the new season is will be far from welcome news. Fitness is key above all else and if our players get even fitter than they currently are ahead of the new season then that'll be positive news. However if anyone of them don't come out of this game with improved fitness then that shall be negative news.

Let us hope that the outcome of all of the above is positive, as that'll provide a good, up-beat start to the season and hopefully aid us in getting three points we need next weekend rather than fewer than three points, such as one point or even no points, which would not be very good at all!

At least this 'saga' looks like it'll end with a signing taking place.

This Pogba saga surpasses any other long winded transfer ever. I can look back at the Schneider one with fondness after this.
I agree, however we never seemed to be that
Close to signing him.

I can still see something happening to bugger this deal up

I wish! No, just educated guessing based on different stuff that's being reported. I honestly think it's not far off.

Do you think it is only 48 hours away from being completed??

I don't quite know what to believe anymore, as so many people have said that the signing is imminent, yet days come and days go by, and nothing is announced.

What I've heard is that they are having problems finding someone to come and fix the fax machine. I wish football would join the 21st century, scan in the contract, email it and then send the copy via courier or post.

The latest I read is that Pogba has been ordered by Juve to being pre-season training with them, and also that they are keen to line up a replacement before they sanction his move. I can see this running right up to transfer deadline day.

They've already signed loads of players and spent quite a bit of money. This alone is odd because i've got the impression they're a bit tight fisted when it comes to transfers so why the sudden change?

It's a game. They know they're selling Pogba to us for a ridiculously high fee but from their perspective they likely see it as worthwhile to keep us waiting, hoping that our requirement to have him sooner rather than later will encourage us to chuck in a few £m more.

I just can't see what the delay is tbh. If all parties have agreed and the agent's cut has been sorted then what exactly are we waiting for?

I presume his holiday is finished, I can't seriously believe we are now waiting for them to find a replacement, if they know he is going then I would expect they wouldn't wait until the player has left to do that.

I think it's a case of the journo's not having a clue what is happening now and they are just making shit up.

Paul Pogba has been authorized by Juventus to have medicals with Manchester United. #MUFC #transfers
It has been long but... now contracts, paperworks and documents are signed by every part. Man Utd, Juventus, Raiola and Pogba. #MUFC
Guessing it will be announced tomorrow.

If this deal comes off, then Ed will deserve a heck of a lot of praise, and no one should doubt him again, and make no mention of that boat trip again!

Having spent much of last season whinging about the short-comings of Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger, I can't help but be delighted at the prospect of Pogba. I think he could well be more valuable than United's existing midfield combined and I'm not talking about money.

Money is no object even when nobody else wants to pay that much for him.....
