I think we will see the departure of at least one mid by the end of the week (not inc Januzaj)
I'd be surprised if we got rid of any senior players other than Schweinsteiger to be honest. Mourinho seems to have settled on his squad for this season. We'll see a few younger players leave but other than that I think we're pretty much done.

Reckon the Schweinsteiger situation will drag on unfortunately.

I don't know who would be prepared to take on board Schweinsteiger's huge wages, so we might be stuck with him, unless we somehow help a team by paying a proportion of his wages (I dont know if this still allowed however).

Just thinking, we're going to have some serious height on corners with Zlat, Pogba, Bailly, Smalling and possibly Fellaini on the pitch at the same time.

Early days, but Bailly was impressive. Proper defender as well, not afraid to give someone a whack. He'll make a few mistakes but is young enough to sort that out.
I was impressed with him too.

He wasn't perfect, but he showed me enough to suggest that once a top class manager like Mourinho works with him, he will go on to become a first rate defender.

When you are having pictures with the laundry staff in our kit, I think that just about confirms things!

Take a look at @MattyMorgan123's Tweet: https://twitter.com/MattyMorgan123/s...748663808?s=09

I'm not really into the photo with a sporting person thing. Giggs was on our train this afternoon but I never thought about having my pic taken with him. People do it at book signings. You think "Just piss off and stop holding the queue up!"

Rio Ferdinand posted a short video yesterday of him trying to walk into Wembley and being mobbed by people wanting selfies with him. Its fine if youre a little kid, which he stopped to say hello to and have his pic taken with them, but for an adult? No chance.

Did Giggs stay on the train much longer than he should have done?

Why does the age of the person matter so much??

If someone sees someone that they admire in an appropriate setting, what is wrong with asking them for a picture? They might never see that person that they admire ever again, and that might be their only opportunity to do so.

Ironic that what was going to be one of the most commercialised signings in football history has had its thunder stolen by a picture of said signing in the humble laundry room with three of the staff.

The marketing lot will be fuming. The planning that must have gone into his official unveiling, Adidas intervening and having him do promotional work in New York for a few days (presumably in United clobber) and then that's the first 'official' picture.

Brilliant.

Mike got one on Fergie's last game when the coach dropped him at a pub car park in Mere. That one is madness to miss out on. Other than that no chance.

He was like shit off a shovel. The train was diverted because of sheep on the line in Nuneaton. I think he was fed up of Utd fans gawping at him.

Why do you have to grow up, or grow out of wanting a picture with someone that you admire?
If I had the chance to have a picture with say Eric Cantona, should I turn it down because I am of a certain age?

Not surprised. Though my comment was more of a dig at him refusing to retire for so long.

I seen a video yesterday of some fans on a train rapping along with John Barnes. That's how you handle meeting a famous people!

If I see a famous person out and about I leave them alone. If I'm meant to see them, like a book launch or an event then maybe I'll get a picture or something. But out and about they'll get hassled enough already. I'd rather be respectful and leave them be.

Having said that, I'm saying that now, but if I saw someone I loved like Steven Gerrard then it might be a different story. I think I'd still leave him alone, though. Klopp's a different matter because if you said hi to him you're probably gonna get drunk with him.

I saw that Barnes footage, that was great, and you just know that he must be fed up by now of hearing that sing, and being asked to rap along, but the fact that he did anyway shows what a good feller he is.
Good on him I say.

I am in agreement with you on the respecting other people's space and privacy, I wouldn't just walk up to them if they looked to be busy, or were eating a meal say.
For me, it would have to be in an appropriate setting or situ, say a book signing, or if you saw them in a ground for exam, places where they would be expecting to be asked for autographs or pictures.

Do you normally just try butting in on other peoples conversations or just tonight?
This is a public forum I thought, sorry if I interrupted the flow of things.

That's what makes it all the better. The soon to be most expensive signing in amongst the laundry with the workers.

As far away from the commercialised part of the game as you can get.

Considering the press seem to suggest that we were second choice after Madrid he seems to look more than happy to be here.
