Man U, a nobody English rapper with a terrible song to announce a signing.

"I done a song with Nick Jonas they called me a sellout thats bogus"

Yeah, it's a bit cringey, but in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing more than a triviality. Fluff for the kids.

That's what makes it all the better. The soon to be most expensive signing in amongst the laundry with the workers.

As far away from the commercialised part of the game as you can get.

Considering the press seem to suggest that we were second choice after Madrid he seems to look more than happy to be here.
I quite like this way, better than going for the kick about on the pitch like Real do with their significant signings.

He might be a nobody to you but even I've heard of him and I haven't been "street" for about thirty years. I'm no grime fan but his most well known song is a huge mainstream hit and even this parody of that song (where I first heard of him) has hit a chord with football fans.

As usual Adidas are ahead of the curve. Adam Peaty will be in a video soon with the grime artist he listens to before races, you watch and see....

Yes, it is now officially complete, there is a strap on MUTV and SSN, five year deal with the option of a further year, fantastic to get this one sorted out.

Welcome back home Pogba!

Bit strange that they'd announce the Pogba signing now rather than wait until tomorrow morning.

Between this and people finding out by him getting that picture with some staff members it's a pretty low-key way to introduce the most expensive signing ever. I approve.

What a strange time to announce it.

It feels like a transfer deadline day signing that's just sneaked over the line before the Big Ben Bongs.

00:22 was I think the official announcement time, which is a bit strange, as I don't think at that time, the papers have time to really add it in (not that we should be thinking of them of course).

Still best to announce it as soon as possible though!

Although I a mm still waiting for the official Premier League page to put him in the fantasy game, so it is not truly official until he is in my team!

I was talking about the timing in that not a lot of people will be up to see the news. I'm sure for a Man United fan there's worse news to wake up to, but the people on Sky Sports News would probably prefer to break the news tomorrow morning where they'll have people tuning in.

Probably, but they are a 24 hour news channel, so this is part of the perils of being such a channel!

You just never know when a story will break!

Haven't been this pleased about a signing since Veron. Hopefully that's not a bad omen.

Pretty pleased it's a low key/graded announcement after all that's gone before.
Much better than running onto a pitch in an empty stadium with cannoned ribbons and a holding up shirt cliche.

Woke up to see we have signed Pogba.....pretty good wake up call.

What makes me happy the most is that it's a scattered deal meaning they get £30 million a season for 3 years.

I guess with that news that Pogba must have wanted the move as surely juve could have played hard ball and demanded the full £89 million in one lump sum.

Great news and I can't imagine he will play Saturday but who knows

A bit shocked we haven't gone a bit full on like Madrid tend to do, fans in stadia, stage, big entrance etc. However, I've a feeling that as this is a returning player and the way he left that perhaps it's a bit better to do it all low key.

Even as a kid I remember finding that kind of thing more than a bit cringeworthy. I've always thought footballers (apart from one or two individuals) always seem painfully uncool when placed in any other context other than a football pitch, especially when they get anywhere near popular music!

Anyway, before I go the full bananarama, I'm going to move on to the positive. This move concludes what has been the best window that I can remember us having. Even Bailly, who was perhaps the unknown quantity, looks like he's going to be top drawer. These signings, coupled with us now having a manager I've always loved and wanted to see take over from Fergie, make for a great season. I'd be surprised if we won the league this season, but I think we'll push deep into the season and I hope we can pick up a cup somewhere along the way.
