I did like his interview, seems genuinely buzzing to be here. Forget all the marketing bullshit and other stuff, it's his attitude that counts. Hint of a Manc accent too!

Part 2 of his interview is on at 9 this morning on MUTV, for those that wish to see it.

Part two is on now, and he seems really happy to be back here, talking about Joyce and his memories of the youth cup winning year.

He really cannot stop smiling, which is great to see.

Just watched the first part of his interview, I forgot how he used to tower above Lingard, and how young Jesse looked back then. With 3 or 4 players still around he'll certainly settle in quicker than most new signings, which is handy. Possibly on the bench this weekend, more than likely the following week we'll see him.

As much as I find £89m a abhorrent amount of money to spend on a player, that's the market and football right now. At least it isn't £100m, which may have turned into a burden to much to carry. 6 year contract seems to be a reasonable deal to, if all goes well we'll make the money back on shirt sales and other stuff over time.

I'd imagine he was posting whilst having breakfast before setting off, many do.

Hope that's true! Always forget he's still at the club.

Yeah, he's not had much game time but aside from his balance issues he seemed to always work hard for us.

I don't think it's gone down well with some of their fans though .

Sadly working hard isn't enough at the very top. He's always looked a bit out of his depth to me.

Palace is a suitable level for him, no idea why their fans would be kicking off about it.

Came about from someone taking a photo with him on a train and claiming he was going to London to sign for Palace. Been claimed now that it was a train up to Manchester for training this afternoon so doesn't look like anything.

I think he'd be a good signing for them. I think maybe his reputation as a bit of a diver perhaps that's bothering them.

Young does however represent for me that period where we were signing a number of players who weren't what I would called Manchester United quality unfortunately.

The backing of the manager has been fantastic. £30m on Bailly, £30m on Mikhitaryan, £89m on Pogba plus willingness to meet Ibrahimovic's wages.

I know this probably isn't the most popular thing to say but I think we've the best owners in the country.

And that's not even including getting the manager in the first place.

A glorious summer for our club, all hail King Woody!

If reports are to be believed, Juve are paying the agent's fee too, further good work.

If around last December when we'd crashed out of the CL and were losing to Norwich at home, somebody had said that come the start of this season we'd have Mourinho as manager, paid a world record fee for Pogba and also signed Zlatan, plus the Bundesliga player of the year and one of the most promising CB's in Europe, then you'd be calling for the men in white coats.

It's been a stunning summer.

Not paying the agents fees was class negotiating.

I wonder if Juventus erred by spending £77m on Higuain before they sold Pogba. Assuming that the fee for Higuain was funded largely/fully by the money they were expecting from Pogba, once they paid for him it could have really put us in the driving seat knowing that it was a necessity that they got the fee, having already shelled out.

Wonder if that's the reason why we managed to negotiate not having to pay the agent's fee at all and that's what the delay over the past week was about.

Looking forward to the start of the season now, time for a fair bit of payback for Bournemouth I think!

Think that might have helped. Reports were that we agreed everything but the agents cut weeks ago, not sure there was really a delay though.

I'm more than happy now but I'm not going to forget the debt that was put on the club or the value years that left us with a poorer squad when we were in position of strength in 2007/8.

They are certainly better than some of the motley crew owners that seem to be out there and they don't interfere like others appear to do so.

I'm more than happy with Ed, after that first summer of pain which looks more and more like it was down to that blithering idiot Moyes.
