Well that was a nothing half to say the least. I'm going to give Fellaini the benefit of the doubt on that foul, which saw him booked. I think he may have slipped/fell rather than genuinely went to tackle him, and I think that's why he complained so much. Apart from that he hasn't been that bad.

I'm in a flux over Mata today, he hasn't done much wrong, and he's doing alright, but I'd just like to see him drift out more. He clogs up an already congested middle of the attack. Martial isn't doing much again, hopefully Jose, doesn't wait to long before hooking him in the second half.

Another thing our best player so far has been Blind, he's been excellent, yes others are doing well, and the TV commentators are praising Zlatan, but Blind has read the game superbly, and his positioning has been top notch today.

Have to disagree with your Fellaini love there Tribec, I haven't seen him do one thing right and Mata is making himself available all over the place, our limited chances have been down to him.
This game is crying out for a creative midfielder

We really are heading for a bore draw here unless we change things up a bit.

I would bring on Miki, and possibly Rashford, as that would at least freshen things up a bit.

Very LVG this one, Hull are there for the taking if they upped the tempo and passed properly

I really do hate to join the "what's the point of Rooney" bandwagon but he has been totally anonymous this half.
Our lack of pace has been really shown up in this game.

These are the sort of games we have to be winning otherwise not much has changed from the last 2 seasons.

If we don't win this match, we will be two points behind City and Chelsea, going into the derby after the international break (as I can't see City not winning tomorrow).

One of them days it seems then:

I think Mkhitaryan and Rashford are showing why they need to be in the team from the start.

Rashford has done more in his short time on the pitch than anyone. He should have been on from half time.

I was just about to post that Rooney's free pass must be running out soon.

GET IN Rashford.

He and Mik should not be on the bench.

He definitely has and now he has won it for us, with a great pass from Rooney.

How do you get them both in the side though, that is the hard part!

Still delighted we win that game, we sure as heck needed that going into the derby game.

Mouriniho doesn't play youth

Credit to Rooney for the assist as well.

Ok I take back what I said about Rooney!

So happy that we won that, it was looking like being another potentially very costly dropped points game, but in the end we somehow won, and that is the crucial thing.

It is a dilemma with him that is for sure, a conundrum, if you will, as there are good and bad with him, he doesn't do all that much, and then he pops up with an assist, difficult to drop him at the moment.

What an ending, thought we were going to drop 2 points today, that was like the Manchester United of old never giving in and getting our reward even if it was a poor performance really. Rashford and Mikhytran were different class and certainly need to be starting. Rooney did well for the goal even if he did little else in the game. Pleased we won as i always seem to say at the moment this season still room for improvement but still promising signs as last season we wouldn't of won that game that is for sure.

Well done Wazza, Rashford will the get the plaudits for scoring the goal, but it was an easy one. The pass from Rooney was outstanding, and that's why he plays.

Rashford and Miki need to replace the two they replaced today in the starting line up. However, we are now moving into a two game a week scenario, so everyone's going to get some games. Not sure what went wrong with Zlatan in the second half, and I know it was difficult conditions, but his touch deserted him. Pogba was trying to hard towards the end, just shooting within touching distance of the goal.

As for Fellaini, I think most on here and in other forums were expecting him to get sent off, but he kept his head and didn't do anything rash or silly.

Comment about the ref, he had a decent game to a point, but maybe it's me but he got in the way quite a bit, he was blocking passes by being in the wrong position. Got the penalty call wrong, and though he was right to book Rooney if we are booking players for having a go at officials, but he and his assistants failed to see the clear obstructions on Rooney preceding Rooney's tirade.
