Yeah, was hoping Jose would finally unleash him in the Derby. As if that wasn't bad enough, Valencia may miss the Derby as well due to late arrival from international duty.

Oh well, at least Ashley Young will be fit and ready
He scored in our 4-2 victory over them, so it would be good if he could recapture that kind of form once again (big ask coming in from the cold though).

I hope that is all it is, we could do without him being injured onto of possibly Miki and Fellaini.

A lot of us, including myself look to Busby and no further in some respects, we fail to see the work that Gibson did for this club. It was the MUJAC players which started the run that we are still on, for home grown players in our team/bench for well over 3800 games now, since 1937. Hopefully in years to come, we should be including his work when passing on the fine traditions of this club to the next generations.

However, this has appeared on the Evening News website,

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co....moved-11841108

I agree with the comments on the page that the freebies couldn't last forever, especially since we are now onto the second generation as such. However, the removal of the plaque is just a little thing to far. It seems petty almost that they've done that, it's not as if who ever sits in that seat next would be bothered at all, even if they give it to Fergie, he'd be happy for the plaque to remain.

I know it's inconsequential (the removal of the plaque), but when you gather up all the little bits and bobs together between United and Busby, it just seems strange that we'd treat a legend like we have.

Thanks for that link, really interesting read - ashamed to say I didn't know about any of that! Always find it fascinating to see how much the history of a club can change - a reminder for us to never rest on our laurels and emphasising that we were right to jettison to dead wood of LVG and Moyes when we did.

I think the removal of the Sir Matt plaque is disgusting by the club, okay the third, fourth, fifth and beyond generations of his family should not get a freebie pass for all eternity, but that should not mean that the plaque should be removed.

I think that we should honour the history that made the club what it is today, and it sure as heck wouldn't be what it is without Sir Matt.

I'll wait and hear United's side of it before I start condemning the club.

They had better be a good reason, as so far it doesn't sound great.

What's going to happen if you don't like the reason given?

'Soccer Aid' will have one more empty seat.

They don't need to give a good reason, Sir Busby has been commemorated in countless other ways.

Quite. We have a statue of him outside and a road leading up to Old Trafford, removing a plaque says nothing. And we're still giving his grandchildren season tickets, they're just not in the directors box. Don't really see any issue here.

They've been downgraded to free tickets with hospitality, the poor lambs.
