I've noticed that he has been in the refs ear a lot this season. I wish he'd cut it out tbh, it won't do him any favours and is more likely to get him in trouble.
I thought the rule was that the captain, and only the captain, is allowed to talk to the ref about decisions?

Our financial figures are out, and they look pretty good :-

They would have looked even better without Brexit! That knocked on the head our chances of getting ahead of Barca.

We haven't started Brexit yet as Article 50 has still to be started nevermind completed!

Just think that was only the vote, even with record results we might be waaaayyy down the list on future years once that is actually done and dusted!

Yeah but he does seem to be in the refs ear a lot more this season. There's also a fine line between talking to the ref and dissent.

I disagree. He's always been like that.

It may have increased a bit since he was made captain, but I've not noticed it being more regular, this season.

It is important to at least try and get the refs onside so to speak, by just having the odd word here and there, sometimes it works, and sometimes like yesterday it doesn't, but I don't really see an issue in what Rooney has been doing.

No because obviously in financial terms of currency the effects kicked in within hours.

Couple of thing to note regarding Barcelona, they include player sales and all 23 sports under the Barcelona umbrella. Which adds around 80m Euros to their figures.

He's played 3 games. I couldn't give a gnats chuff what Jamie thinks tbh.

He never had a pre season with us.

Far too early to make a judgement.

Have you been reading the express or something? It was at almost £1.50 to a dollar before the referendum, it's currently £1.33. Gone up slightly from the lowest point since the referendum but it's still seen a big decline.

I haven't been reading much about the financial side of things, hence my question, so thank you for the reply, and the information.

Not worried in the slightest. Even if you forget his performances for Juventus, I've already seen enough of him in a United shirt to be confident that he'll be a success.

I'm not overly fussed about the transfer fee, and whether or not he's 'worth' it. It's what we had to pay to get him.

In the first week after Brexit a private investor friend of mine lost 18, 000 off his portfolio. They still had the float they started with but things were dicey for them for that week.

I thought that it bounced back?
The same friend is back up to around 12, 000 now. Key is not to panic and remember it's all paper money until you cash in. Bit like online betting really. Ah, who am I kidding. If it had been me I would have brexited in my pants.

Having seen the Stormzy ad, his dancing is more effective than his footie so far.

But he will come good.

Then why comment?
Ah, come on zieler. You're one of the best posters on here. Batdude asked, that's all.

Given the article he posted included a reference to the change in exchange rates, it should have been obvious.

Appreciate the flattery though.

You should be as I thought I was his chosen one on here.

It's a cruel world!

If you'd have given me a chance, I was about to tell Zieler that it wasn't flattery. I like the way he does his research on matters and I regard him as almost as good a poster as you. No point posting it now, I guess.....

Pogba will come good, I have no doubts whatsoever on that, he knows the club, and how to play his role very well indeed, so it is perhaps others that maybe have question marks about them, but not him.

Just seen the powercut at the match against Villerreal tonight!

Thankfully we played on after the power was restored, and we won 1-0, against the defending champions, not a bad way to start the competition!

No Miki for our Europa league tie tomorrow.

Maybe he wasn't fully fit against City after all?

He wasn't. Reports today are that he's out for two weeks now.

Valencia, Jones, Shaw, Lingard, Mkhitaryan and Rooney are all either rested or injured. Jones is the only one who I thought might play but he's presumably injured.
