I've noticed that he has been in the refs ear a lot this season. I wish he'd cut it out tbh, it won't do him any favours and is more likely to get him in trouble.

They would have looked even better without Brexit! That knocked on the head our chances of getting ahead of Barca.
Just think that was only the vote, even with record results we might be waaaayyy down the list on future years once that is actually done and dusted!

I thought the rule was that the captain, and only the captain, is allowed to talk to the ref about decisions?

Yeah but he does seem to be in the refs ear a lot more this season.
It may have increased a bit since he was made captain, but I've not noticed it being more regular, this season. |

It is important to at least try and get the refs onside so to speak, by just having the odd word here and there, sometimes it works, and sometimes like yesterday it doesn't, but I don't really see an issue in what Rooney has been doing.

Couple of thing to note regarding Barcelona, they include player sales and all 23 sports under the Barcelona umbrella. Which adds around 80m Euros to their figures.

No because obviously in financial terms of currency the effects kicked in within hours.

Jamie carragher clearly not impressed He never had a pre season with us. Far too early to make a judgement. |

Have you been reading the express or something? It was at almost £1.50 to a dollar before the referendum, it's currently £1.33. Gone up slightly from the lowest point since the referendum but it's still seen a big decline.

I haven't been reading much about the financial side of things, hence my question, so thank you for the reply, and the information.

Jamie carragher clearly not impressed I'm not overly fussed about the transfer fee, and whether or not he's 'worth' it. It's what we had to pay to get him. |

Ah, come on zieler. You're one of the best posters on here. Batdude asked, that's all.
Appreciate the flattery though. |

Given the article he posted included a reference to the change in exchange rates, it should have been obvious.
Appreciate the flattery though. ![]() It's a cruel world! |

If you'd have given me a chance, I was about to tell Zieler that it wasn't flattery. I like the way he does his research on matters and I regard him as almost as good a poster as you. No point posting it now, I guess.....

Not worried in the slightest. Even if you forget his performances for Juventus, I've already seen enough of him in a United shirt to be confident that he'll be a success.

Just seen the powercut at the match against Villerreal tonight!
Thankfully we played on after the power was restored, and we won 1-0, against the defending champions, not a bad way to start the competition! |

No Miki for our Europa league tie tomorrow.
Maybe he wasn't fully fit against City after all? |

He wasn't. Reports today are that he's out for two weeks now.
Valencia, Jones, Shaw, Lingard, Mkhitaryan and Rooney are all either rested or injured. Jones is the only one who I thought might play but he's presumably injured. |
