Hopefully the reports are true and that Rashford will start the game, as this will be a great opportunity for him to carry on his very good form against a tough opponent.

It's not "reports", Mourinho explicitly said he will play in this game.

Did he, ahh good.

Just watching the press conference, and there are a lot of really rubbish questions.

I've always found that it's easier just to assume that Jones is injured unless he actually appears on the teamsheet.

Same kind of attitude to when Hargreaves was in his injury ravaged period with us.

We should have snapped Arsenal ' s hand off if the rumours about a bid were true.

No use to anyone if he's constantly injured.

Our starting eleven for tonight's game:-

De Gea; Darmian, Bailly, Smalling, Rojo; Schneiderlin, Herrera, Mata, Pogba; Martial, Rashford

With the bench as follows :-

ManUtd Starting XI:
Romero, Fosu Mensah, Carrick, Fellaini, Memphis, Young, and Ibrahimovic.

Good to see F-M on the bench, be great if he came on.

Not really, Rashford seems a bit isolated.

Way too isolated, Pogba, Martial and Mata need to be playing further up to give him support.

If we could pass the ball to each other, we might just start to pose a bit of a threat.

I'm trying to make out what systems and formations we are using as to me this one we are using, which is similar to the one we started Saturday with just isn't working and we are struggling. We can't seem to get a grip of the ball in midfield, and if we do have it the options are so limited.

As for players, I can't say anyone has stood out, can't say anyone is playing woefully. However, Martial and Mata will have to pick themselves up a bit, it's a chance for them to stake a claim to a starting spot on Sunday, and whilst Martial has done bits and bobs it's not been much.

Do think your missing an attacking midfielder who can take hold of a game someone in the mould of Kevin de bruyne

Zlatan, Young and Depay come on for Rashford, Mata and Martial. I just hope Mou doesn't place any blame on Rashford.

Because you went a goal down in a competition Mourinho doesn't care about?

1-0 down.

As bad a performance as any of LVG's in Europe. Mourinho needs to light a fire under this side.

It's not about the goal, it's about our style of play, it's way too defensive but it doesn't work when 1 or 2 of the defensive part sucks at being defensive. It's like nothing changed from last season.

10 man Dundalk are drawing with AZ Alkmaar as well.

Zero excuses. Pogba's weekly wages could buy and sell that entire team.

We should not have lost that, Jose needs to realise that being so defensive is not a good strategy, Rashford shouldn't have been alone, we were basically 4-5-1 in the first half.

As bad as the first half was on Saturday, we were against a very good side, this tonight was way worse. There just doesn't seem to be the passion and desire in this side (wasn't any last year to be fair), Pogba was pushing on, trying to drive forward but no one followed.

After a decent second half on Saturday Herrera was poor tonight, did he lose his runner for the goal?? Poor decision by the linesman for that, but did we really look like scoring. Not wanting to give to much credit, but at least when he came on, Memphis did something other players hadn't done all night and shoot, not that they proved effective, nor was his delivery late on.

Mata and Martial got the hook rightly so, and for me that's them consigned to the bench or stands on Sunday, neither has done anything so far this season.

Simply not good enough, yes the goal was off side but we should of had more than enough quality to win that match. Disjointed, lack of quality, i could go on but what would be the point Darmain, Rojo, Memphis and probably one or two more are simply not good enough to play for Manchester United. I don't care that they haven't played much football they should be putting in a better performance then that, we are miles away from winning things.
