You're missing the point. The Europa League is not the top priority, so it's a calculated gamble to shake the team up. It didn't pay off, but Mourinho will have learned stuff from that game.

The pressure to win at Watford is no bigger than it was after losing to City. It's a game that we should be expected to win, regardless of tonight's result.

How do the players, playing the first game of the season tonight get game time then if we are playing near enough the same 13/14 players every week (inc subs)? Fergie would do this and get results, so why not Jose?

With respect to some of the players coming in tonight, I don't think Smalling or Darmian did to badly considering it was the first game, Rojo wasn't as bad as the commentators made him out to be, though he was far from great. The worse players were those that have game time so far, the one's who should be creating and scoring goals.

We bemoaned LVG and Moyes to an extent over the lack of chances we were creating and yet tonight I can only recall two shots on target and they were both direct free kicks. It says something when I've got to say that Young at least added a bit of a spark to the forward line, and he falls below Smalling and Carrick combined in my personal rankings.

Not that fussed about losing in the EL, the sooner we go out of that the better, but still it's back to back defeats and fail to beat Watford on Sunday and suddenly doubts will creep in after a good start to the season.

So we had United fans calling for Jose to be sacked after the Dortmund loss, which was laughable, and now United fans are calling for him to be sacked again because of the Feyenoord loss, absolutely pathetic. It's football, we win some and we lose some. I was super annoyed at the loss on Thursday but I don't think he should be sacked for it, I do think he should change his tactics a they are too Van Gaal-esque.

I still think LVG would have stayed if he got top 4 especially after the FA cup win. Despite the football being rank our form in the later half of the season Europa league aside was decent. However his sacking thankfully meant that GIggs missed the boat which I am eternally grateful for. I'd very very surprised if he rocked up at another club in the near future. Never got the impression he was that fussed about management apart from the Utd job in the first place.

I think we missed our fullbacks on Thursday and Fellani who's done a decent job so far this season. It's obvious that we still have a few players who aren't going to cut it at this level.

I don't think it helped that there were so many players for whom Thursday was their first game either.

What has Blind done to be dropped?? Not saying Smalling didn't do anything to be left out after Thursday,but it's a puzzle. As for Martial, what's he done to warrant a start? He's been consistently poor since the end of last season.

n.b. One normally doesn't do hangovers, so watching today's game with one is a new experience. I may even praise Smalling....

Blind was poor against City and was responsible for both goals we conceded. And to be blunt, Smalling is better.

I blame Bailley more for the first goal last week, Blind got caught for sure, but that can happen to anyone. Still let's wait and see how Smalling does today, hopefully he only has one or two moments.

As can misjudging a ball or whatever the **** it was Bailly was doing. But Blind misjudged the knock down and then played Iheanacho onside for the second.

And hopefully Smalling doesn't have any 'moments'. I know you can't have your fun if there is nothing to criticise him for but still.
