Apart from De Gea and Martial he could send the rest packing tbh.
But I think these players are considerably better than what we are seeing now anyway.

It's the shit house tactics imo.

You get to the stage where you think you're over his daft substitutions then he changes two full backs and a defensive midfielder when we need goals.

I know the tie had pretty much gone once they equalised, but they looked more like scoring than us in that second half.

Exactly right, i was reading a bit of Sir Alex Ferguson's leadership book today and he was saying how it is no good just to have a team of young player's you need experience to help the young players through the game. It was really interesting how he said any successful team needed a balance of young players who can take on new challenges, old players who have experience and players in between the two age brackets. Fergie said he needed youth as older players take longer to recover from the demands of the game and injuries the medium age players could do the majority of the donkey work, he said he was constantly on the look out for new talent whether it be youth players his preference or talent elsewhere and that a team had a 4 year cycle. Fergie also said he mapped it out into 3 categories of players between 18-21 and then the 22-30 age group and 30+ age group, whilst also looking at the changes of the game as in the early days it was a mainly British based players like Robson, Bruce, Palister and McClair were it was a more continental game with the lacks of Ronaldo, Vidic and Evra being the mainstream of his later years.

Yeah, I agree.

But there's no one in this squad, aside from DDG and Martial, who I'd shed a tear for if they were booted out by the next boss.

mata is useless, he runs like his feet are stuck in quick sand, gets pushed off the ball easily whenever anyone is near him, can't believe how much we paid for him, what a waste of money...

Schweinsteiger should have been on from the start anyway but the full back changes are taking the piss.

Schweinsteiger must have been wondering "What do you expect me to do?" when he was sent on. It was like the subs were being made for the wrong teams. We brought on the players to calm the game down while Liverpool brought on a £30m striker! Laughable.

We have a good team. No one can dissuade me of that. We have a team that should be reaching the knock-outs of the CL and challenging for titles at this stage of the season with ease.

Vam Gaal recently said we're living in the passed, well the present is we're utterly useless and who's faults that? Yours Mr Gaal yours.

Given that our fans were rightly criticised for the chants last week, let's hope the media are as quick to report the seats being thrown from the away end at full time.

Now when it comes to us the TV deal doesn't matter (which it doesn't in our case I just said it to get your response) and its ALL about the players feelings and of course in this case you think we should sell because "there is no point in keeping an unhappy player".”

I am not contradicting myself, the tv deal does allow clubs to be more financially settled then they were previous to this deal (as the income is far more than the current deal), so the need to sell due to financial reasons or pressures, is taken away to a very large degree.
So if a club does want a player, then then buying club are really going to have make a stupidly high offer, to even tempt the players club into selling him (if we are talking about a prized asset here).
The player can kick up a fuss, but if the club deems him important enough to keep, then even this might not be enough (again see the Mane situation as an example of this).
It is up to the individual club to decide if keeping a player is worth it or not.

Sadly, anyone could have predicted this childish response to the murderers banner on the motorway. Idiots the lot of them.

Hopefully they get punished. Criminal offence damaging Old Trafford isn't it? Wouldn't it be a shame if the evidence was handed over to the police..

Agreed. We're still short in a few areas but it's that badly mismanaged that it looks a lot worse than it is.

The clearest example being just how many players get played out of position. I know we've had a shitload of injuries recently, but it was the same earlier in the season when we didn't.

The squad is a bit all over the place, I don't think it is as good as you are saying it could be.
We have players like Valencia and Fellaini who shouldn't be anywhere near the first team now.
Then you have Mata who seems to have really gone backwards, how much longer we can rely on him to be our main creator I don't know.

We have one top class player in De Gea, one very, very promising player in Martial, but after that, it really is a bit of a muchness, no-one else has really stood out.

So why are you saying that we should sell players if they are unhappy when you are also saying that clubs can just keep players that want to leave if they want to as well. Of course its a contradiction!

When talking about Man Utd players you are saying "whats the point in keeping them if they are unhappy", when talking about players Man Utd may try to sign you are saying "the clubs will keep the players regardless of their happiness".

I still think Mata is a good player, but unfortunately doesn't fit very well in our system it doesn't play to his strengths. When we had Fellaini and Carrick in there from the beginning I had my doubts. Not really surprised with the outcome, we're not good enough at the moment.

Aye. Given that the default response from those in our support who sing "murderers" is that it's aimed at Heysel, the argument is undermined somewhat when the banner that you mention had the date of Hillsborough on it. Absolute cretins.

Hopefully this is the final nail in the coffin.

A change in the summer and project Giggs is as dead as this tie.

Hopefully Di Marzio is right and Jose is already scouting for players.☺☺

he doesn't fit in mourinho's counter attacking system, he doesn't fit in van gaals possession system, what is this mythical system that is supposed to turn mata into a top player please do tell, he's just not good enough...

Again, it is not a contradiction, I am just using commonsense thinking.
The more money a club brings in, the less financial pressure that they will be under to sell their prized assets.
A players unhappiness be here or elsewhere, will play a part in determining if a club decides to want to part with him or not, but that will not be the be all and end all.
A number of factors will be taken into consideration, such as the players importance to the team, his contract length and how long left he has on it, the managers view, and any potential negative pr which could impact sponsors.

So just trying to buy a prized asset with a lump sum of cash, (as for example we did with Rooney), will not really work I believe) and I could never waaaayyyyy off base here), to sign say Lukaku, who by my reckoning is what Everton would class as a prized asset, would be extremely tricky to do, as I couldn't see Everton being all that interested in selling him, and with this new investment that has just recently arrived at the club, they will want to make their mark, and what better way them by rejecting all offers for him?
