One of those days. If Zlatan scores after a minute we win that 4-0.

I will always have a soft spot for Mark Hughes, but that was a massive two points dropped by us. Of all people to make a mistake, the ultra-reliable De Gea. Until then we had bossed the game with Bailly and a very disciplined Herrera (apart from that tackle) the stand-outs for me.
Can only hope Spurs do us a favour now.... |

Still a bit of a disaster though, whatever the reason. It's starting to turn into "one of those seasons".

Credit the Stoke keeper for the saves he made, but on reputations alone and with the chances they had, both Zlatan and Pogba should have scored at least 1 if not 2 goals each today. On other days they might have, but those chances in the first half should have been scored, not sure why Zlatan decided to go near post in the first minutes.
Rashford improved in the second half, wasn't as sloppy, but that ball at the end where he kicked it out for the goal kick summed up his game today. No blame from me to DDG on the goal, it bounced right in front of him, that's the hardest thing for a keeper to deal with. |

Should of won that with ease, yes there goalie had a one of those days were he saved almost everything but if you want to win the league we should be winning games like that one today and we were so wasteful. A rare mistake by De Gea cost us, annoying as we played quite well today but it is obvious we aren't going to win the league this season, hopefully we can qualify for the Champions League and win a Cup of some description. I do think we are slowly moving in the right direction but there is still a long way to go yet.

I know Batty suggested it, others agreed with him, however I was cautious of our games after playing in the Europa league. That's two games and two lazy games from us now afterwards. I know it's not the best schedule, Thursday night/Sunday lunch time, but it has to be said we've huffed and puffed in the European games and then done the same on the Sunday. Let's hope we can get Fenerbahce beat in the first half and just control the second half and conserve some energy for the following weekend.

Sad news about David Herd
( the only player to score a hat-trick against 3 different 'keepers ?) |

Looking at the results so far, if we can finish the gameweek in fourth, then I will be happy with that, as that would mean at least Spurs would have hopefully brought the hype around Pep to a stop.

Well in fairness he did intentionally pass it to Martial, so he deserves this one.
Even Savage just criticised Rooney's touch - that's how little he actually had to do with the goal.... Well done Jose for his interview. He must be fuming, but called it correctly without unecessarily slamming Stoke or the officials. |

Surely you kid...? If not, I suggest you look at the replay again. Closely.

Rooney should just leave if he isn't starting games like this. We also need to sign a striker and quick. Should be a priority for Mourinho next transfer window. |

Was watching on a pretty low quality stream but that's what it looked like lol.

Rooney isn't going anywhere any time soon. Therefore coming on as an impact sub and 'helping' to make a goal is exactly where we want him. And if he manages to play himself into something resembling decent form, then even better.

So we've gone from calling for Rooney to be dropped, to Rooney to leave if he isn't starting in a game in the space or two weeks?? Had he started we'd have seen at least 3 pages on here or people moaning that he was starting again. So whilst he attempts to find some form from the bench, we now see the first trickle of Rooney has to leave...

It's not that I have a problem with Rooney being here. He is a United legend and can still work as a squad player. However, he hasn't started a few games now and then didn't start against rock bottom Stoke City at home. Would he even want to be here? Does the manager really want him here?

The club is still too heavily saddled with players that need moving on,Rooney is just one of them unfortunately.

Just one of those days. 24 shots and 1 goal says it all.

Who do you think we should move on then? Please tell.
Rojo Rooney Jones Young Depay Darmian The latter obviously isn't part of Jose ' s plans so we may as well move him on. Fellaini and Lingard I'm happy to keep as squad players. |

Pathetic. You can't not beat a team bottom of the table, with two points from 6 games, at home and expect to be a title contender. We really needed to win this looking at our next two games!

Bad day for City as well today! No 'invincibles' tag this season for them, then.

Fair play to their goalie too, well deserved MOTM. |

No problem, I would prefer not to broadcast quite what my surgery is about, as it is a rather touchy and personal matter (I hope that doesn't come across as too rude or aloof, as it isn't meant to, I just wish to keep that bit private, if that is okay?).

Only 6, you made it sound as if there would be many more, what about Schneiderlin, Blind and of course Schwiny? I thought I'd see you include them 3 in that list and shocked at the two your keeping for squad players too.
The rest though no problems. Jose should have shown some of them the door in the summer, issue is the wages. |

![]() "Football, bloody hell!" ![]() ![]() ![]() Spurs still unbeaten. Very interesting.... You lot may disagree, but I still think we've got the squad and manager to win the league. Not that we can afford too many more days like today. Now we really have to get going in our upcoming matches. Savage and Owen were saying our middle is still soft because Pogba wanders and we'll get punished against better teams. I think Herrera was extremely disciplined to account for this but maybe it does leave a hole. What do you guys think? |
