Sadly what I want, or would like, I doubt will come to pass.

I highly doubt that we will finish this gameweek in the top four.

Before this goes onto page 2, how are we all feeling about tonight's match?

Personally I am feeling a tad bit nervous, but with a fair bit of hope, that we can come away with some much needed three points.

You put Fellaini in the team, I can never respond to your posts again

So does Jose, but that hasn't stopped us trusting him has it????

This is Fellaini's 3rd United manager, and 2 of those were supposed to get rid of him the summer they took over neither did. Some where either Jose or LVG are wrong or the fans are.

Over the next two games I will predict a minimum of one point and maximum of three out of the six possible. The competition is tough out there.

Always good to have options and Fellani is definitely that!

I may be wrong but for me he adds nothing to the team.
He cannot tackle without giving fouls away
He cannot pass
He rarely scores.

So the reason for playing him is that he "puts himself about a bit"?

I would far rather watch my team without such a player on the side, if that puts me at odds with a few managers then so be it.

Team news is in, and Fellaini and Young of all people start.

De Gea,

Valencia
Smelling
Bailly
Blind

Fellaini
Pogba
Herrra
Rashford
Young

Ibra

Subs
Romeo
Rojo
Shaw
Carrick
Lingard
Mata
Rooney

No Martial in the squad is a tad bit of a shock.

With both Young and Fellaini in the starting line up tonight, I think we might have a chance.

Martial didn't travel, got a injury so Young in ahead of Rooney and Mata.

Good to see both Ibra and Rashford starting, I quite like the look of that side, as somewhat unconventional as it may be

With this team selection the remote hope I had of us getting something out of this is gone.

Young is playing as a left wing back, neither Mata or Rooney can play there so I dont know how it puts him ahead of them. Its a defensive formation aimed producing the counter attack. Fellaini does make some sense in the way he'll just play rough, otherwise might as well play with Carrick.

Comedy gold suggesting Carrick to start a game.........

Well it may not be a classic, but I've been impressed by the discipline of the undisciplined one. Hardly gone forward, held his position and disrupted them lot when they've come forward. His partner in crime has been good as well, but needs to shut up or he'll end up in the book like Young.

Solid enough away performance. Pogba should shed his cloak of invisibility and Rashford is about as effective tonight as he was last season, when LvG also played him in this position at Anfield. I doubt his limited experience thus far qualifies him to play other than his natural position. I would expect Liverpool to concentrate more of their attack from their left.

Anyway, so far so good.

Well, after getting over the shock of seeing Young in the first team, that really that wasn't anywhere near as bad as feared. We seemed to be cancelling them out quite well and have had a few glimpses of opportunity. They came back into it but the longer we can keep this going the more the odds shift in our favour.

Fellani and Blind were my biggest worries but both are doing a job.

Pogba looks knackered though. It's taking him absolutely ages to get back to the middle after a forward run.

PS Ref was doing quite welll until the yellow cards. I blame Jose for those

Rashford did create our best chance though. They are doubling up on him and rightly so, he's got the beating of Milner. If he can get a few more one-on-ones with him next half.......

I would substitute Ibrahimovich for Rooney. Play Rashford through the middle and Rooney on the right. Liverpool attacking United's right side (as I anticipated LOL) and Rooney would be more useful backing up there than Rashford.

Mourinho set up for 1 point and gets it, with no small thanks to De Gea.

Pragmatism rules, OK?

Satisfactory result. Don't care about how we got it, they were on fire and we quenched the fire. Happy enough!

0-0 then it is, we really needed a win there, hopefully that will come at Stamford Bridge, ah well onto the Europa League.

We cannot afford to drop too many more points in games, and thus not really trouble the top four teams.

A fair result you could say, we took the first half, they the second. Disciplined performance by the team, Young and Rashford put shifts in for the team tonight, without doing much in the attacking third. Till they took Sturridge off we were in control, Coutinho is the one for them, and a pain in our backside, he always causes us problems and did so once he moved forward.

Had us to win 1-0, with a late winner to snatch the win, once they started to cause us problems we didn't look like scoring really.

Would of preferred a win obviously but can live with a draw as it was more than i expected us to get before the game started. Overall we defended quite well to be fair and Herrera was superb, we should of attacked more to be fair and De Gea made 2 fantastic saves, onto the Europa League and then the Chelsea game. It could of been better but could of been worse.

Fellaini and Young and a defensive minded set up, well at least we didn't lose as feared. I feel as though we can win at the bridge though
