Here's hoping LVG has been nothing short of a disaster, though Mourinho is mad he is a great manager, hope it is true but doubt anything will happen before the end of the season now to be honest.

Jose Mourinho was told the day after the game against Liverpool that he'll be the next Manchester United manager. [@RedIssue] #MUFC

Yeah,we've got this far so I can't see him gone until the season is finished.

I agree, Woodward will want to let LVG go with dignity, he deserves that anyway for a long and illustrious career. If it's Mourinho, the spin will be that United needed to plan for the next few years and Mourinho being their preferred follow-on will not be available after the summer, so by mutual agreement LVG will step down a year early.

I don't think being in or out of the CL and winning the cup or not would have any affect on that (if they actually want Mourinho). It would be the decent thing to do, and whatever we think of his performance, he's been damned unlucky with injuries, that has to be said.

We have got this far with LvG, if the board haven't got rid of him for some of the other totally abysmal results and performances, then it does seem as if we are stuck with him until the end of the season come what may.

As for the match tomorrow, I am reminded of what Gary Neville said a few years ago on Monday Night Football in relation to a game between ourselves and Liverpool, it could be like the "Dog and Duck v The Red Lion", such is both teams form this season.

With Kompany out I reckon the derby will end up as a dull affair. Doubt there's goals in either side.

They're certainly there for the taking though, but I suppose it wouldn't add any gloss to a lacklustre season.

City have already won silverware, are in the quarter finals of the Champions League and could (very unlikely I'll admit) win the league.
They're hardly 'The Dog and Duck'.

West Ham drawing is something I suppose, small crumbs going into the derby tomorrow.

They also have not won back to back league games since October, and have a very poor record this season in big league games, so both teams dont exactly have much to be proud about league wise.

Seems another cleanup in here for no reason. Least it proves to me the person that constantly reports though. Nice one, no idea why you're on an Internet forum if you can't handle the simplest of interactions

Top 4 is done.

It's just a case of dragging ourselves through the remainder of the season and pray there aren't too many embarrassments along the way.

Big changes needed next season, chuck in a decent shit house centre half, another forward at least and hopefully keep hold of De Gea.

I am not one to be on the side of the mods (I have had enough bans to last a lifetime), but they do sometimes clean things up by their own decisions, without anyone having reported anything, so it is best to er on the side of caution, before you start casting aspirations about anyone I would have thought.

Keeping hold of De Gea is the biggest success we can make in terms of players for next season.

He is vital if we are to put up any sort of serious challenge to the title.

It doesn't prove anything whatsoever. Unless you want to name names. There are plenty of innocuous comments that get removed for seemingly no reason at all and stuff that's offensive that doesn't.

My posts have been removed from earlier and there were a number of off topic one's that have gone too.

I think it's against the rules to name names in such a way. The mods seem to take action when you so much as sneeze in the direction of some people so it wouldn't be wise to be directly accusing people of alerting.

Sooo... optimistic as (nearly!) always, we need to beat City by 3 goals tomorrow to go 5th and within a point of 4th.

Can we do it? Yes we ca..... ummm.... probably not!

But Leicester continue their amazing run!

I would imagine that as this is probably one of the busiest threads on the football forums, the mods probably spend more time in here.

Sorry, no. It's now become obvious. And before you inevitably reply, I don't believe it's you.

Suffice to say I'll now put that person on ignore

No but someone insinuating they think they know who is doing the alerting is unhelpful. If I was one of the posters having a conversation with someone who gets the inactive status then that points the finger at me and anyone else involved.

Unless we are privvy to such information there's not much point making judgements.

It could be a case of posters who aren't particularly active on here pressing the alert button or the poster who has become inactive has been sailing close to the wind on another occasion and has been warned previously.

Presumably that is now aimed at me then?

A repeat of last seasons game where we scored four wouldn't go a miss (although that was at Old Trafford), sadly it is probably more likely that we would concede four this time around.
