And there goes our title chances for this season, the gap is becoming bigger and bigger as time goes on.
Top four is looking hard as well at the moment. |

Zlatan!!! Rooney will score before he does again... What was Clattenburg thinking to book Herrera for that second tackle? The first one he pulled out of it. Then not sending Flanagan off for the hand ball late on, back to his best ain't he! He's done the finals, so he can do what he likes or so he thinks. |

Goals scored against Leicester, whose defending in away matches this year has been awful: 4
Goals scored against the other 6 teams we've played in the Prem since September 10th: 3 Impressive. |

Simply not good enough, yes we played well but we had enough chances to win 3 games, we have know one who can put the ball in the net and it is costing us, Zlatan looks like he will never score as does Rooney, Rashford should be playing through the middle and not wide.

Top four is looking hard as well at the moment. We're just ending October 8 pts behind the leaders and 5 pts behind 4th place. Although not ideal, it's certainly not the end of our title chances or finishing top four. |

Deary me, our pitiful return of goals is really costing us this season, you would have thought that for all of our investment, we could find someone who could score on even a semi regular basis, but no, apparently not.
These dropped points against Stoke, Watford, Liverpool, and now Burnley, have already done some serious damage to our season, in terms of what we can now expect to be fighting for come the end of the season. It is all well and good talking about which creative player should play in midfield, be it Miki, Mata, Rooney, or Memphis etc, but if our strikers cannot score goals, then it is all a bit of a moot point really. Shooting practice is definitely called for in training the next few occasions that they are in, that much seems necessary. |

Ok, someone answer me this. Why is it that since Van Persie in Ferguson's final year, why is it that we hardly had any world class attacking player to root for and get behind? Even in Ferguson's 3 year 2003-2006 period without the tile, we still had Van Nistelrooy, exciting young players in Rooney and Ronaldo, players with big reputations at the club such as Giggs and Scholes.
Only player I can really think of recently to get fans excited about the future is Martial last year. Rooney - yeah a big name, but everyone knows he's over the hill. Everyone else has either been consistently good rather than great or average to poor. I'd be able to stomach the average results better if it felt like we were building something. |

Was it a definite straight red, I didn't see it as the stream froze and only saw the replay. It's better if it's a straight red as we can appeal that, we can't appeal a second booking though.

Don't be such a drama queen!
We're just ending October 8 pts behind the leaders and 5 pts behind 4th place. Although not ideal, it's certainly not the end of our title chances or finishing top four. We are playing catch-up, and so far the omens do not look good about our chances of finishing in the top four. The title seems out of our grasp now, as those teams like Arsenal, City, and even Spurs, do have players who look like they can score goals, and are doing just that, whereas we are most definitely struggling to do so. If we were eight points behind one in form team, then it might be a little more palatable, but we are not, we are behind at least four teams fighting for those much converted Champions League places, so it just makes things that much harder for ourselves. It might seem as if we might need to win the Europa League to get Champions League football next season. Hopefully, I am wrong, and we can go on a winning run of five, six, or seven games in a row, as that is the sort of form that we need to do, in order to have a good chance of seriously moving up the league table, not just from seventh to sixth, as we had a chance of doing so today (but failing to do just that). |

You do know we've scored more goals so far this season than at the same point last year don't you?
Perhaps the Leicester result was an outlier, as apart from that one, in the league so far we haven't really troubled the opposition goal all that often have we? I would not mind winning games 1-0, but we just don't even seem capable of doing that currently, which is very annoying and somewhat depressing. We simply have to have a change of fortune in front of goal, if we are to achieve anything noteworthy this season. |

Maybe it would be a good idea to drop Ibrahimovic and play Rooney instead
Or is that a bad idea |

We are now relying on other teams to drop points, more than we do, and we have to beat those teams above ourselves, which we haven't done so, so far, thus it is not being a "drama queen" at all, it is using commonsense and logic.

Still early days and still possible. The shots we had on target today could have resulted in a high scoring win, Just wasn't our day. |

Or is that a bad idea Ibra is certainly looking tired and no where near as sharp as he was at the start of the season. Maybe it's his age finally catching up with him, the new league or he's not settled, who knows? What we do know is that he has spells in games where he's quite effective, but then is quite poor for the rest of the half. I think we all agree it was a gamble worth taking in the summer with him, but if we were to say how we have rated the first quarter of the season with him here, I'm saying the jury is still out. |

Sorry, not changed my mind after reading that. Still think you're being a drama queen.
Still early days and still possible. The shots we had on target today could have resulted in a high scoring win, Just wasn't our day. We need to start actually wind ng games, not thinking draws are a good result, just because we played well in them. This is not me being a drama queen, this is me looking at things from a logical perspective, we are currently very much behind the teams above us, and there is a bit of a gap beginning to formulate, and soon if we are not careful, it could get to double digits to the team at the top of the table, and even the teams we are in a battle with to finish in the top four places could be very hard to overtake. We need to have a dramatic form change, if we are to move on up the league table, which is what I would like to see us do. |
