Christ, just seen the line up.

I thought Halloween was last week.
I'll happily have egg on my face if we win this.

Playing a team with balance, however horrifying it looks on paper might actually work better than trying to cram everyone into the line up.

Or it could just be having Carrick, our best distributer of the ball playing....

My lord football is fickle. This is a million miles away from the team I wanted Jose to play (and I don't think I'm alone in that!) we've got zimmer-frame pace and yet we've scored three very good goals without reply.

It is nice of Swansea to make things so gentle for us so far though.

Oh FGS they've got one back. Why can't we keep it going to the end? One of these days...

Better performance from United though i didn't get to see much of the 2nd half, Pogba strike was superb it was like a classic Paul Scholes strike, nice that Zlatan got a couple hopefully that will get him up and going again also his 399th and 400th club goals what a career he has had even if he probably is getting towards the back end with us. Rooney played better and Carrick played well as usual, granted it is only a poor Swansea side but hopefully it is the beginning of a better run of results for us.

That was a crap goal to concede and Swansea were good value for thier second half win. But we did the business in the first half. There was a lot of good movement and even though he was still giving the ball away a bit, that was a lot more like it from Rooney. Zlatan and Pogba stepped up too but I wouldn't really want us to play this formation against any of the top six. As well as Carrick did, he can't track back anymore and is easy to beat on the turn.

And the ref might have done us a favour for the Arsenal game giving Zlatan that card

Well at least that is progress of a sort.

First half it was nice getting a few goals for a change, but then second half we seemed to just think it was game over.

Happy with the three points though.

It was game over.

The win was all that mattered.

Arsenal at home next, after the international break, it would be great to get a win over them, and to continue (albeit at a somewhat snail pace) to close the gap on the teams above us.

It might very well have been, it round have been nice to have got at least a fourth goal, just to completely kill the game off, although at the stage that we are in, I guess one cannot become over greedy, it is just nice to get that winning feeling back once again, even if we have once again been overshadowed by Liverpool.

A solid performance against a very shy Swansea team. But watching Pogba today and thinking of future possibilities is even more satisfying to me than the 3 points won, very welcome though they are.

Yep. Better than expected considering that starting line up.

3 points is the headline but pleasing to see Zlatan on the scoresheet again and a very solid performance from Rooney.

Swansea look doomed though.

I wonder what sort of team we will see put out against Arsenal?

Will Herrera come back into the side? Just what sort of back four will we see?

So many questions to be answered, time for José to jumble things up once again I think.

Herrera instead of Fellaini I presume?

Hopefully Carrick will also play, as I do feel a tad bit more confident when he does play.

Zlatan:

On whether he was aware he had scored the 25,000th goal in Premier League history: "Ah, no I wasn't. I thought that was only me who had scored 25,000..."

On his fifth yellow card of the season: "I thought we played rough in England? I play rough and I got a yellow card. What was it for? I don't know. Maybe I was too tired to hear why the referee gave it."

I hope that it is not as bad as it could potentially be.

Well, I'm not the confident of him playing against the better teams that will really press with pace in the middle, but at least he will have had a rest by the time of the next game.

I've only just realised that the reason why Rooney played like his England place was on the line was because it is. I think that was a crafty bit of man-management from Jose there to start him for the last two games

According to this:

He's going to be all right. Other sources still going with the more dramatic possible outcome though.

It is becoming obvious Carrick should play in all the big games and we need some more defenders either promoted from below or bought in, and it looks like Smalling and Shaw could be on borrowed time.
