If fit obviously.

De Gea
Valencia
Smalling
Bailly
Blind
Martial
Herrera
Mata
Pogba
Rashford
Zlatan

Bench

Carrick
Lingard
Jones
Rojo
Young
Romero
Rooney
Wow, no Shaw?

As for your previous question, if he's fit then yes I'd play him on Saturday, he didn't do to badly against Swansea and if we are short of players due to injuries and suspensions he'd be the first one back in the team.

With regards the report about him drinking, who knows what went on, people thought that Bardsley had knocked him out a few years back because the press saw a video. Who knows how much he had had to drink? It could be people selling the stories rather than the truth. I mean how many people believe that Martial is sulking because Zlatan got the number 9? Yet the press keep printing as an excuse for his poor form. We know his dip in form coincided when his wife left him and the story broke. Since then he's been poor.

I missed him off the bench along with Miki. I think Blind is more worthy of a place at left back than Shaw at the moment anyway.

As for Rooney, those pictures are pretty damning and he has come out and apologised for it. Having a fairly decent game against a poor team is a world away from the Arsenal side we face on Saturday.

It's defensive players we're short of and there are enough options in forward positions without choosing Rooney.

I hope that he starts games soon, so not just one, but more than that, he is such a talented player, that it seems a waste in a way to not be using him.
Yes, I think that we all want to see him starting games. I was asking if your oddly-worded post meant that you thought that he should start on Saturday.

I think that he should, fitness permitting.

I would start him in as many games as possible, to get his form up to speed, so yes I would start him against Arsenal as well.

How are people feeling about the match today??

Nervous? Confident??

We certainly need a win, a draw is not good enough, if we want to catch up to the sides above us.

Should of won that as we were by far the better team but just showed again we are just not quite good enough to win this league, top 4 at best this season sadly, but Arsenal were poor and Wenger has more lives than a cat.

How frustrating was that.

We were by far the better team. So disapointed.

The current top 3 will be miles clear outside chance of 4th but a slim chance as arsenal will likely finish there

So more dropped points, a draw today is not what we needed at all, we have dripped far too many points so far this season.

We have faced, Arsenal, Liverpool, City and Chelsea, and not beaten any of them, very, very, disappointing indeed, especially when only really Chelsea deserved to beat us, the other matches we definitely should have come away with the full three points.

Top four is looking a huge ask as of this moment.

I thought Man United were the better team. At home it's to be expected. I went downstairs with just a few minutes to go, thinking they'll see the game through, and was surprised to see Arsenal equalised. They got a goal from their one shot, which is impressive.

I'm sure Arsenal will also be disappointed in dropping points in this game.

It does for you as the current top 4 look the very likely top 4

Spurs will have the best chance of getting in the top four, of those teams not currently in the top four, we have well and truly blown it, with dropped points against Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Watford, Stoke and Burnley.

You really can't drop that many points at this stage, and still hope to be in amongst the top teams, come the end of it.
Far too many favours will need to be asked of the teams above us, in terms of themselves dropping points, for us to get in there ourselves.

At best, our only real hope of Champions League football next season, is to win the Europa League, and we are mucking that up somewhat as it is.

I agree, a point is not what we needed or wanted pre-match, so getting one at full time, is very disheartening, and doesn't help our cause that much.

Just got to hope other teams surprisingly drop points themselves, even then, we have not been able to fully take advantage.

Just so annoying.

Always massively frustrating when you're that close to three points and you don't see it out. It happened last season at Chelsea too, and those two dropped points would have seen us in the CL this season!

Arsenal will be delighted with a point after their poor display, talk about sucker punch.

I don't like looking at the league table, it doesn't inspire much hope for the rest of the season.

The City result, sure is a kick in the privates, and we fall further behind them.

Today is massively frustrating, add todays result to the list that is getting longer and longer in terms of games that we should have won (Liverpool, Stoke, Burnley etc), but did not.

Onto the Europa League on Thursday, where yet again, only a win will do.

A winning run in all competitions is what we desperately need, but alas, that doesn't seem like it is going to happen any time soon.
One step forward with the Swansea result, and two or three steps back since then.

Saying you "should have won" a game away from home against a team in great form, and potentially fighting for the title, in which you had one shot on target, might be stretching things a bit.

It all depends on ones on viewpoint on things, and my own personal viewpoint, is that against Liverpool, we did drop points, and it was two points dropped, rather than a point gained, much like today.

If you, or others feel differently, then fair enough, but that is how I honestly view the points that we have dropped so far, and is a major reason as to why we find ourselves so far off of the pace, that the teams in the top four are currently showing.

You were away from home, against a team in form, and you had one shot (header) on target. If you think relying on a header being the difference between 3 and 1 points means that the game is one you should have won, then whatever helps you sleep at night, I suppose.

I didn't mention anything about dropped points. I'm not going to waste my time going over that nonsense again.

I'm sure Arsenal regret dropping two points today, too, especially since Liverpool also dropped two points.
